Which is your #1 favorite character breakfast, and why?

I realize this maynot help..but, you asked...

Goofy's beachside breakfast at Shutters in Disney's Vero Beach resort - hands down THE BEST character interaction of all the character breakfasts anywhere on Disney owned property - including DCL - smaller intimate setting, characters general come around more than once while you're there..take their time with you. In comparison to the others, imho, it's spectacular!

Ok... I've heard of Shutters at POR... Is this different? Where is this? Is there Disney transportation to it?

This is very different...the Shutters I'm speaking of is at Disney's Vero Beach Resort - in Vero Beach FL. Unfortunately, there is no disney transportation to the Vero Beach resort - it's about a 2 hour drive from WDW.

I like Tusker House better than any of the others. It offers some non traditional breakfast dishes so the food is more interesting.

Oh, ok. Then your right, totally not helpful!!! :lmao: :goodvibes
Though in thinking about it... I wonder how far Vero Beach is from Naples... My parents have a house there :rolleyes1

I voted for 1900 Park Fare because DH and I both love the made to order eggs and omelet station. Additionally, the bread pudding is delicious, and the strawberry soup is amazing - like a melted smoothie! Everything is always fresh no matter what time you go. And we love the character interaction. We also tried Tusker House and Cape May for the first time on this last trip and really enjoyed both!

A little over 3 hours, maybe 3.5. (I'm from Naples.) :)

I'll be better able to answer this after Sept. trip, but between Chef M's and 1900 PF, we'd pick CM. DH just didn't care for PF - they were running way late, and Mary, Alice and the Mad Hatter were not particularly great. Probably since we were 2 adults. Tigger and Pooh on the other hand were very nice to us. :)

Tusker House by miles. MILES. Once you go there you judge all other character meals by it's standard.

I am a Chef Mickey's hater. In fact, I'm Captain of the Hate Squad. I hate every stinking thing about it.

Ditto on this whole thing! Plus the Mad Hatter is HYSTERICAL!!!! He made the breakfast worth every penny. Our second favorite is Tusker House they have really good food and a nice variety, getting one of the first breakfast slots and walking through an empty AK is pretty cool too.

I voted CP as that has been our tradition for a few years now. Although this year we are only doing lunch there (we used to do both). Still our favorite for service, food, atmosphere ... and of course, having been our first ever character meal at Disney we can't disregard the sentimental appeal ;)

Goofy's breakfast at Cape May...with Tusker House a close second. I like the food, it's always fresh and plentiful. The server's are wonderful and the characters tend to spend more time than usual with the kids. And it just doesn't have that same frenetic feel to it that many others do.

Oh, your killin' me! I have a 10 am bfast there on Christmas Day and I was thinking about canceling it..... not so sure now, it seems to be popular
may just have to keep it so we can experience it ourselves :goodvibes

I picked PSB because I have 2 DDs and we love the Princess interaction there. I also love the potato casserole that they serve, it is yummy!

Tusker House is a very very close second place.

I voted for Crystal Palace. There is just something more special about starting the day in MK then the other parks, (don't get me wrong I love all the other parks too, but MK just has that feeling for me,) and I like Crystal Palace better then CRT, which though it's good, I can't justify that price for breakfast. I also love Akershus and Tusker House for the food, especially Tusker House, the only big draw at Akershus for me is the potatoes.

I voted for Crystal Palace. Eeyore and Pooh are two of my favorite characters, and I love the French toast puffs they serve there. It's also fun to get there before MK opens and walk around taking pictures before your ADR time.

Love Crystal Palace. But really enjoyed Storybook dining and actually CRT. But always do an 8AM before park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace!

I voted CRT, because I just love eating in the castle and the breakfast we had there last time was amazing. My other 2 favorites are Princess Storybook Dining at Epcot and Tusker House in AK. All fabulous.

ITA!! Cape May is a hidden gem, as it's never crowded, whereas Tusker House and all of the rest are. Tusker House does have some unique food offerings though.

We thoroughly enjoy Cape May, and it's not as busy as the other ones, and so we have gotten last minute walk ups several times now during peak season periods.

Happy eating - we'll be eating at Cape May and Tusker House in a few weeks!

Tiger :)
