How young are the youngest kids going on EE and how are they faring? My kids will be 6 and 4.5 when we go and they'll both be over 44". They both love BTRR, Splash and TT. They did ToT but say they don't want to do it again. for our last trip they weren't tall enough for Space.

For kids in that age/thrill category, are they going on EE and if so are they liking it?

Depends on your kids. Just because they are tall enough doesn't mean they will like it. We just got back and my DD7 reached the height requirement but there was no way she would go on. DS11 and I went to the park alone one morning to ride. It is a VERY intense ride! I think it is much more than BTMR, Splash and Space Mountain. I did a bit of screaming on it myself! :)

I did not see any young kids in line when we went on - youngest probably looked about 8. But I am sure others will come on here and say their young kids rode.

It's such a personal decision based on your own kids..... If it was my daughter and she liked BTMRR and SM, I'd ask her if she wanted to try EE. With my daughter, when she started riding the thrill rides it helped to let her know that if she rode it and didn't like it, I wouldn't be making her go on it again. Every time we tried a new ride, she'd work herself up a bit and be nervous, but not wanting to leave. She knew that once we were in line, I would *like* her to try the ride, but that she could bail if she wanted to. She never did, but it was in her control. It's almost funny now - she's an absolute thrill-ride junkie, but will still play up her nerves on a new ride. Of course, as soon as she gets off, she wants to go again. :)

If your kids are doing those other rides, you're familiar with their patterns and reactions. Give them an idea of what to expect and go if they're comfortable with trying it. If they don't like it, you get off and don't go back.

Can they handle drops and riding backwards in the dark and seeing the Yeti trying to get them? Do you have another adult going with you? (The seats are 2 per row) Etc..... :)

My DS6 is going to try this one. He loves Spalsh, Thunder and Space. Went on TOT but is choosing not to go on that again (at least for a few years). He does not want to go on RnR, mainly because he does not want to go upside down. I'm happy he wants to try EE, because I do too!

Bumping for more opinions.. our DS will be 5 and might be tall enough.

My DD6 is planning on riding. She is excited about it! I hope she will like it, I am looking forward to it as well! :)

Perhaps you could get fast passes, try it first by yourself, (I'm thinking the single line shouldn't take too long) and if you think she will like it use the fast passes with her. Is there an adult she could wait with while you try out the ride first?

Interesting question. My DS6 rode EE the first weekend of April. He loved the ride, but did close his eyes on the Yeti part.

When we go back, my youngest will be 4 1/2 and will most certainly be tall enough. I don't know if he will ride. I guess we will wait and see.

My youngest is 6. He rode EE 4 times in about an hour. He absolutely loved it, and we were worried because he was apprehensive about riding it. He was scared the first time, but EE turned out to be his 2nd favorite ride, with Rockin' Rollercoaster being his favorite.

We've been watching the Travel Channel specials with our dd 5. She's really excited to ride now that she's seen the Yeti. It won't be so scary because she knows what's coming. I told her if she gets scared she should say, "Boo Yeti!" and scare him back!

Whether or not she rides it will be completely up to her.

DS6 went on EE three times and loved it, but really cuddled into me on The Snow White Ride (can't remember the name) as the Wicked Queen was 'very scary'!!

My oldest DS was 6 on our last trip in January. We were there for the AP/DVC preview weekend and he rode it and loved it. That is his first must do for our trip in June!!! I have to admit that I loved it too!! :thumbsup2

Both our DDs (7 and 5) say they want to try it. The oldest has been on SM and BTMR numerous times. We'll try the younger one on those before we venture to AK and ride EE.

EE is all DD6 talks about riding in June--she saw it on the Disney 411 on the Disney channel. She loves TT, BTMR and Splash so I will let her try it; although, I think she may change her mind when she actually sees it in person. I am going to send DH and DD13 on it first :teeth:

We've been watching the videos on google and our DD is already practicing her raspberries for the Yeti :lmao: ITA that it's up to her/them. Based on the video the kids want to do it - so far it sounds like the youngest is 6 that's been on it.

And we'll probably be w/a group where some adults won't ride so they really don't have to go if they don't want to ;)

My quiet, shy 4 yo went on all the 40" rides last year except TOT and loved them all! Now, hopefully she'll be 44" by Nov, cuz she wants to go on Space Mtn and EE. I keep telling her for Space, that its dark, she'll sit by herself, and she has to be tall enough. Her response is "I don't care, I'm going on it". SO, assuming she's tall enough, which I think she will be, she'll be on EE.
