I do not have children so I don't have a clue what to give. I need to give gifts for a boy age 6, a girl 14 months and a boy 10 months. (I do not know their clothes sizes so that is out.) Since I am still out of work I would like to keep the gift limit at 25.00 max. each. Any suggestions, please!

here are some things my 11month old will be getting that were under $25. Mickeymouse clubhouse laptop from walgreens for $10. It has 6 or 8 buttons and teaches a few numbers and colors. Shape sorter, little people fireman with firetruck, books, mittens, hat, ring stacker. I've got a boy but I think most of that would work for either of the littles on your list. For my 5 year old nephew we bought a Harry potter Lego set for $12 at walmart. I haven't asked my sister what else he's getting. Hope that helps.

I ordered my new nephew a personalized Christmas book from www.iseeme.com. They are really nice. I believe that it would have to be ordered by today for Christmas delivery. They have a few discount codes available...

$5 off $25... save5
$10 off $50... save10
$25 of $100... save25

I haven't had to shop for a baby in awhile, so I thought this would be something nice that he could bring out every Christmas.

i have a 17 month old boy.. for christmas he is getting (under $25 range)

-fisher price little people animal sounds farm ($24 at Target this week! - from 39.99) - they also have the doll house and garage for same price (GREAT deal!)

-leap frog magnets letters and the animal sounds.. I got them for $10 each through amazon (normally $15-25)

-BOOKS - he LOVES board books - especially the touch and feel books (the 10 month old would also probably enjoy this)

-melissa and doug cardboard bricks/blocks.. LOVES building towers and knocking them over 19.99 on amazon

Hope that helps!!

Boy 6

Hexbugs

Zhu Zhu pets (Even though in the girls section)

Star wars legos

Star Wars Lightsaber

Zhu Zhu pets (Even though in the girls section)

Every kid seems to love these things. The boys area has Kung Zhu Ninja Pets. They are about $7-9 depending on where you are. There are also accessory items available. Our 11 month daughter is also fascinated with them.

Also:

Disney store/catalog has been having a plush BOGO sale. Almost every kid loves a stuffed animal.

Some Build-a-bear animals are cheaper and there was a $10 coupon (off $30 purchase) in the national coupons in the paper this past week. You don't have to get the outfits and whatnot for them.

Are you creative/craft-y/ability to sew? There are tons of things you can do. I started an ornament collection for my DS (and now DD) with his first Christmas. So far we've bought them all, but many places (Joanns, Michaels, AC Moore, Hobby Lobby) have clear Glass ornaments (ball shaped) that you can decorate in any number of ways--fill with ribbon, paint inside/outside, decoupage and so on. Joanns and Wal-mart carry Fleece that a two yard piece can be edged with blanket binding or they both also carry no-sew fleece blanket projects. Both should be within your budget.

McDonald's gift cards...
Toys R US gift cards...
Books,
Thomas the train (the wooden versions) are loved by all ages and both genders. Every kid that walks in our house has always wanted to play with that stuff. The wooden stuff tends to be a little higher priced but they last so well. Also, kids are happy with just the engine to push around.

Good Luck! & Merry Christmas!!!

6 year old, connect 4, books, remote control anything

14 month old, dollbaby, popping balls (fisher price), tea set (fisher price), stacking toys, books

10 month old, push n go toys, stacking cups/blocks, books

Thank you everyone for the great ideas, the more the better! I knew my DIS family would come to the rescue! :grouphug:

Just an FYI for the OP and anyone else interested this Mickeymouse Clubhouse Laptop has a $4 coupon this week making it $6. A lot of the other (all?) of Walgreens' $9.99 toys can also use the coupon. I went for the Playdoh set. I got the large quantity of playdoh at Target on Black Friday, but needed some tools to go with, this is a nice set for the money. I was surprised how nice some of these $6 with coupon toys were.

We really love the Sandra Boynton book/CD sets. They have rock songs built around a theme that are recorded by well known musicians and actors, it's really hilarious! DS had Philadelphia Chickens and one or two others...we just got Blue Moo for DD for Hanukkah. They're up on Amazon.

I'm also a fan of this which I got DD for her first birthday:

I actually saw it at Target for under $10 when it was around that time! It's still under $20 normally. She was 2 in October and still plays with it and so does my 8 y.o. DS. ;)

We just got her some Weebles but haven't given them to her yet so I'm not sure what she'll think. Fisher Price also has different "Peek A Block" sets and they have an alphabet one and a numbers one. I love Peek A Blocks!

For the older child...here are a few tips on getting GREAT toys reasonably priced: Do you know that Borders 33% or more off can be used for Lego as well? They also have a nice game and toy selection. We really like the Think Fun games (Zingo, which is like picture Bingo; Rush Hour Jr. where they have to get out of a traffic jam on a board; and others I can't think of. They are all reasonable and most of them are at Borders.)

If he's into Thomas, A.C. Moore still carries them and takes the 40% off coupon in the Sunday papers when the trains aren't on sale already. Both A.C. Moore and Michaels also have some nice Melissa & Doug stuff (puzzles, crafts).

HTH! :goodvibes
