I saw some complaints about the wheat buns and thought that people were overreacting. I am a wheat bread/bun lover and was thrilled with the prospect of eating my burgers on one at WDW.

Well, after loading my burger with fixins at Cosmic Ray's, I picked my table and sat down. I picked up the burger, put it to my mouth and BAM...the dang top of the bun crumbled in my hand! I had to pick around the bun to eat my burger and finally gave up.

I would like to offer my humble apologies to the bun nazis as I rolled my eyes at you while reading your posts. I am now reformed and ready to join the ranks. :flower3:

:rotfl2: Sorry, I'm NOT laughing at your experience, just your post! Apology accepted - you understand our angst now, right? ;)

Wheat buns would be a great CHOICE, but forcing folks to eat healthier breeds resentment. And if it is less functional, then it's another bad decision, like sugar free jello.

And the thing is... not all wheat breads are better than white breads. I see many options in the grocery that we think are healthier just because they are wheat, but have just as many calories/fat and not not as many fiber grams as many white breads.

And here I was thinking i just kept getting the only bad bun in the batch! :lmao:

Does anyone know if you can ask/beg/plead/threaten to get a white bun?

Great post Disney4Drew, that has always been my experience with those drasted wheat buns too. Dry, flavorless, falling apart...Whoever mentioned sugar free jello blechhhh nobody in our house can stomach that either!
