lol, I remember all of these :rotfl:
YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 70S IF...
* You wore a rainbow shirt that was half-sleeves, and the rainbow went
up one sleeve, across your chest, and down the other.
* You made baby chocolate cakes in your Easy Bake Oven and washed them
down with snow cones from your Snoopy Snow Cone Machine.
* You had that Fisher Price Doctors Kit with a stethoscope that
actually worked.
* You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a plastic basket with
flowers on it.
* You learned to skate with actual skates (not roller blades) that had
metal wheels.
* You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)
* You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island.
* You had rubber boots for rainy days and Moon boots for snowy days.
* You had either a bowl cut or pixie, not to mention the Dorothy
Hamill because your Mom was sick of braiding your hair. People
sometimes thought you were a boy.
* Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.
* You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.... and later on came leg
warmers...in every color!
* You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon.
* You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny
shredded outfits.
* You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the
trapeze. The swing set tipped over at least once.
* You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color.
* You had a pair of Doctor Scholls sandals (the ones with hard sole &
the buckle).
* You also had a pair of salt-water sandals.
* You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little
House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in
at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Olson!
* You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink.
* Your hairstyle was described as having wings or feathers and you
kept it pretty with the comb you kept in your back pocket.
* You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends,
Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.
* You carried a Muppets lunch box to school and it was metal, not
plastic.
* You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of
Hazzard was your boyfriend.
* You and two of your best friends would play Charlies Angels, and
whoever was the blonde would automatically be Jill (Farrah Fawcett) and later
on, her little sister, Kris (Cheryl Ladd); and whoever was a brunette would
have to argue over being either Sabrina (Kate Jackson) or Kelly (Jaclyn
Smith).
* Every now and then Its a Hard Knock Life from the movie, Annie
will pop into your brain and you cant stop singing it the whole day.
* YOU had Star Wars action figures, too!
* It was a big event in your household each year when the Wizard of Oz
would come on TV. Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping
bags!
* You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: Who will I marry.
Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or Rick Springfield?
* You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame
soundtrack record album.
* You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick
Gods eyes, decoupage, or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom.
Pot holders - I believe they were called loom loopers.
* You made Shrinky-Dinks and put iron-on kittens on your t-shirts!
* You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable
tape player up to the speaker.
* You couldnt wait to get the free animal poster that came when you
ordered books from the Weekly Reader book club. Double score if it was a teddy
bear dressed in clothing.
* You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy
Blume books (Are you there God, Its me, Margaret.)
* You thought Olivia Newton Johns song Physical was about aerobics.
* You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart
or rainbow designs.
* You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer.
* You had a Big Wheel with a brake on the side, and a Sit-n-Spin.
* You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.
* You spent all your allowance on smurfs and stickers for your sticker
album!
* You drowned yourself in Loves Baby Soft - which was the first real
perfume you ever owned.

i am lol, what memories these all do bring back to me(sort of scary too)!! though i am now stuck with ITS A HARD KNOCKS LIFE in my head for the day. ds and his friends will enjoy my singing for the afternoon, i am sure.

STOP! STOP! PLEASE STOP!
OK, I admit it, I am guilty of quite a few of those :rotfl2:
Some of which I don't care to remember.
Now I wish I had all of the money I spent on some of that stuff.

Yes, almost all of those are true for me. :teeth:

Yes! Yes! Yes! :rotfl2:

I was the coolest girl on the block when I got the Donny and Marie dolls with the soundstage and my sister had the Cher doll that could be the guest star! :cool1: We would play the flimsy little record on our little record player and act the whole show out!!! Then we would jump on our Huffy sweet thunder bikes and ride them to our fort!

I was born in the late 70's but most of those apply to me! I'm pretty sure I have a picture of myself somewhere in my metal roller skates, with my rainbow shirt on! My favorite though is the metal swingset with the trapeze bar, and tipping it over....I can sooooo relate!

LOLOLOL SO true.... :lmao: :lmao:

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink.

You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the
trapeze. The swing set tipped over at least once
The higher you swung the post came out of the ground lol

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of
Hazzard was your boyfriend.
I always loved Luke Duke

You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick
Gods eyes, decoupage, or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom.
Pot holders - I believe they were called loom loopers.

Yep, and I just bought my 6yo the loom to make potholders.. she didnt thave as much fun with them as I did

see I was born in the mid 70's so I remember these and the 80's ones.

I think my first kiss WAS at the roller rink

I think my first kiss WAS at the roller rink
I think mine was too, lol, after skating "couples only" :rotfl: and then of course you had to "shoot the duck" :teeth:

I remember all of them! From the not fully cooked brownies in the easy bake oven, to looking for quarters to get scratch and sniff stickers for my album!

Ahh being under ten in the seventies!

OMG! Do they even make Love's Baby Soft anymore? I haven't thought of some of those things in a while. Thanks for the laugh.

Here is a website that will take you back 30 years or so:

OMG!!! I think this one got me even more than all the others (but, yeah, I remember all of them too!) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm guilty as charged on the following:

* You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island. (No nightmares, though - I loved this show!!)

* Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession. (Not a sleeping bag - but I still have the complete set of dolls, plus a garbage can -- and the Holly Hobby blouse I sewed in 7th grade. - I stunk at sewing, so I scotch-taped the remaining seams and got a "C" on the darn thing!)

* You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.... and later on came leg
warmers...in every color! (Yegads, looking abck at photos I look like a stick puppet in this crazy attire - and now my daughter who is in college is wearing the same stuff! :rotfl: )

* You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the
trapeze. The swing set tipped over at least once.

* You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer.

* You spent all your allowance on smurfs and stickers for your sticker
album!

* You drowned yourself in Loves Baby Soft - which was the first real
perfume you ever owned. (I actually wore this scent until I was well in my 20s! )

Great, great post - thanks for all of the memories!
:thumbsup2

Thanks for the post. I loved it and boy the memories come flooding back.

Having Charlie's Angels; trading cards, lunch box, barbies
I wanted to be Kelly Garrett when I grew up. And I still miss my purple bike with the banana seat, but now my daughter has a Bratz bike kind of like it
