For only $4950.00!! It was just on Good Morning America. I didn't see the entire segment, but I heard that they are working on getting authorization to use these on sidewalks as pedestrians (they purposely ran over Diane Sawyer's foot to show that it doesn't hurt).

It was a lot of fun to ride, but at that price, I can convince myself I need the exercise and can walk!!

running over your foot isn't the issue...a bike doesn't hurt when it runs over your foot either....
but what about knocking you down....being run into by one when you're walking down the sidewalk.....
does THAT hurt????

as for the cost.....what would i use it for?....
anything far i drive...anything within a few blocks i walk....
and where would i leave it if i drove it to the store?....
outside the store?...wouldn't it be stolen?....

I could see uses for it for people who have trouble walking a lot. My Dad (who is no longer with us) would have loved something like this instead of one of those chairs (which we couldn't get him to use very often).

I could see uses for them for postal workers, amusement park workers, playground supervisors, and I am sure many other things.

We tried these out on the 10/27 wonder. It was really fun. They charge $15.00 for 15 minutes but let us all split the time, so the 3 of us had 5 mins each.

I am hoping that by the time I am ready to need one that they will have come down dramaticallly in price, possibly even have retirement areas that were built with pathways that these can be used on. I see a great future for them and think that Dean Kamen, the inventory, is a very gifted individual.
