Sitting on my neighbor's porch chatting this evening, a college-aged girl came up and was selling some sort of educational books for kids. After telling her we weren't interested, she insisted on sharing a bit of knowledge (just to be friendly). Her question to us was, "why are flamingos pink?"

To which I responded, "because of what they eat - shrimp!" She was surprised I knew the answer and said that not one person was able to answer that question all day, all I could say was "Thanks Disney!" I learned this at the AK.
So don't feel like your kids aren't learning while on vacation!
