"You set me up" and it only went downhill from there - Pop Sept. 2010 TR - THE END!!

So I could have sworn I had photos from breakfast, but I can't find them anywhere! I think my camera is eating them.

We entered Tusker House and got seated in the room just to the left as you enter. Our server told us it was the main dining room. There was one couple in the room looking like they couldn't wait to get out of there. No one else was in the room. We were told our server would be Brian and he would be right over to get us drinks and we could get food.

And we sat..... and the anxious looking couple sat...... and they filled up two tables with families..... still no Brian..... Oh wait there's movement! Someone is filling up juices on thos tables that got seated after us. Augh! Finally Brian makes his way over and thanks the anxious couple and comes over and we get the jungle juice. Okay one thing you have to know, if you get any other juice you get a big cup. If you stick with the jungle juice you get the little itty bitty cup on the table. I mean two gulps and that things empty! Not good with such hot weather! We constantly needed refills. Brian eventually wised up and poured juice in BF's coffee mug.

The food was good. I loved the potatoes and there was eggs with cheese and ham that was good. They had better mickey waffles here than at Crystal Palace. On my second trip around, I was completely just going where there was food I wanted, but I noticed other people weren't grasping the concept and were standing in a line waiting to go from item to item even if they didn't want anything to get to something further down that no one was at.

While we were eating, a photographer came to a table near ours to show them their photo with Donald. Wait what!!!! I thought the photo was free, since you took it and wouldn't put it on my PhotoPass card and told us our photo would be brought to our table. The guy makes it to our table and tells us about this great package of the 5x 7 and (4) 4x6 photos all for the low low price of $31..... wait are you serious? I wanted the picture of BF in his Donald shirt with Donald, but not for $31 and there is no otehr option? Fine throw away the photo I'm not going to spend it. I looked outside to see if maybe we could get a photo with Donald with our camera now that we know it costs money. Thanks for the heads up on that one! Nope no Donald outside. In fact we don't see him again the entire breakfast.

As far as Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy go they were great! Daisy came over before we got our juice and I got a photo. Mickey and Goofy were great. I tripped over Goofy's shoes a bit.... LOL I have two left feet. The table next to us was a family and I guess they asked for me to take a photo of them, which I honestly didn't hear and then later they asked if we wanted a photo together with Mickey I think, and when I left to get more food they approached BF and said we didn't think you spoke English since she didn't respond when we asked her to take a photo for us. Whoops! Not intentional I promise you.

I think your tusker experience sounds like ours. I was a bit irritated at the cost of the photos. We didn't do the Princess one at Akershus House this year....I wish we had cause the pic there is included!!! Also..yes, what was up with the lack of service? Was the AC working when you went? For us, it was broken. They were attempting to fix it, but it was VERY humid in the room when we went. Ugg..

I don't remember. I think so. We were just so hungry. Sitting there annoyed waiting for juice so we could get food. Then annoyed about the photo fiasco that I think it may have overshadowed the experience, which is sad.

Did they mention anything to you about taking a photo with your camera? I would think with the conversation we had with the photographer they would have mentioned it. But when it goes I don't need your card, they will bring your photo to your table, you tend to assume that you are getting one. But you know when you assume you make a.. out of you and me.

So since BF is off today, but if off doing something I might as well get another update in....

After our Donald-less safari, we headed out back to Expedition Everest, where we got another set of FPs. I then noticed oh wait its 1/2 hour before Finding Nemo and then it doesn't play again until 2pm and we'll have a chance to see Lion King. So off we went to In The Wild Theater in search of Nemo...... and the end of the line. I'm not kidding you it just kept going and going and going, finally we found it and jumped and and we're walking and walking and I'm hoping the theater isn't filled, nope we made it in!!! But it was very full. We ended up all the way to the top right section in a row where we could be as close to the middle as possible.

I loved Finding Nemo! I think BF even liked it too! Which is a big deal. He looked really happy during the show.

When it was over we headed out to Dino-land, I wanted to show him Tricatops Spin that I had done last time. The wait was 20 minutes. Forget that! Its not that great of a coaster to wait for. I just like the feeling of falling of the sides. I know I know I hate the free falling feeling but I like the falling feeling? I love the scrambler and those rides that spin you round and round and you feel like your going to go flying off the arm and land somewhere, not the rides that make you feel weightless.

Then I made a HUGE mistake..... I told BF about Dinosaur! So he had to ride it. The wait was 40 minutes or we could get FP and come back. FPs!!! Then we headed over to Everest to ride it with our two sets of FPs we had. I still don't love the ride, but being in the middle section helps. Probably the fact I didn't see the Yeti the first time helped as well. I can only imagine if it actually did work how much I would have hated the ride! The 2nd ride we were in lane 10 and when we saw the photo we weren't thrilled by it, but we had another try. What we really liked was that we were in the front row of the car and we could see ourselves on the photo best. So the next time through not only did we ask for the middle section we asked for row 10 so we could get one last shot at a good photo. We ended up in row 13 which was fine because it was still a front row of a car, but a little further back. I really really really tried to make for a good picture, when I got out my eyes were closed but I was smiling and BF looked happy. So we had to get it. No one was ever going to believe I went on it without the photo. We were going to Kali River Rapids next in order to cool down, we had noticed the wait was like 20 minutes, but we didn't mind with a chance to cool down. While we were standing to see someone to get the photo this really nice lady handed us two FPs for Kali River Rapids because they were just about to head out. Score! So we headed to Kali River Rapids and didn't wear our ponchos. We didn't get too wet and then off to Dinoland for Dinosaur and we would be calling it a day.

On the way to Dinosaur, I pasted character landing where Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore had just come back. I'm a huge Eeyore lover so I had to see him again, even though I saw him at Crystal Palace. So I gave BF our FPs so he could go either once or twice and headed off to meet Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. There was one group in front of me and one group behind me. Pooh was so sweet, he gave me a nose kiss, and was dancing when no one was visiting with him, Eeyore was sweet and shy, and Tigger was silly and fun. Then I met up with BF after a little wait and we headed out of the park.

We headed back to Pop for some down time before meeting my friends in DTD for dinner.

Yeah, I think this was my 3rd time for photos with Pooh and Tigger and 2nd time seeing Eeyore. Seeing that Eeyore was there was what made me stop.

BF is about to start having Disney fun and we leave tomorrow!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect other than Lion King but better, but it was so cool how they did things and intergrated technology. Worth it!

Do FOTLK first and Nemo second. I think if you saw Nemo first you might not think FOTLK is as amazing as it is.

I'm thinking of waiting until October to make plans for the next trip. I can't decide between lots of short trips or a couple really long trips. And then where to stay? My dream resort has always been AKL.

We left AK around 3pm and headed back to Pop. All I wanted to do is sleep and take a shower. It was so hot out and I was wiped!

We got to Pop and I wanted to check out the gift shop. We hadn't done any souvenior shopping, minus getting autograph books and pens for my cousin's kids in MK. I wanted to get something for the little boy who lives next door, I didn't really see anything I loved, but we were going to DTD tonight and the World of Disney would have more things.

We headed to the food court for the 1st time this whole trip! We were checking things out and got stuck in front of the ice cream display. No, there wasn't anyone there, our brains were just stuck on ice cream. Luckily two girls came along and ordered sundaes and we found out that would count as a snack credit so we each got a yummy sundae and BF got a cup to get ice water for us and we sat down and ate. Seriously I think it was the best sundae EVER!

Afterwards we headed up to our room for a nap. We needed our rest for DTD.

It sounds like BF is having a much better time today! That is cool you went on EE so many times even if you dont' like it that much. I always skip this ride. I don't like yeti. I don't even like Dinosaur. I don't really mind the ride itself, it is actually almost like my #1 favorite disney ride ever, the Indiana Jones ride out at Disneyland. I just don't think the content is very interesting, and there is always such a long wait!

We do really love KRR though, but we both agree the ride is too short. I mean, you ride, you get wet...then that's it! hahaha.

Never been to Tusker house but it sounds like a great breakfast. Maybe one day I will actually make it to our early morning ADR. LOL. I love Donald but that is too bad you didn't get to see him too much!

You seem to be a queen in getting free FPs!!! We only got one set before, last year at TSM, needless to say, it was the best gift ever or else we'd never have been able to go on that ride more than once.

Well I didn't see the Yeti the first time. I thought it was the glowing red eyes before you go down the drop. The 2nd time I saw him, then I started to be scared. Space Mountain in Disneyland I hated! I needed BF to get me out of the ride, I couldn't stand on my own willpower. This ride didn't scare me as bad.

Serious, FP luck was crazy good for us. He didn't notice or care.
