this was the 1st time ever using the FASTPASS...
it is the best...you go into the ride with ( usually no more than a 10 minute wait...sometimes just a few minutes) while others stand there for what seems like a line a mile long and a wait that seems like eternity...

We fast passed Kilamonjaro Safari and Kalali River Rapids in AK
" " SNow WHite, and BUzzlight year in MK
" " little mermaid in MGM (here we waited the longest ..about 20 minutes)

To be honest, I'm not a huge FastPass user. I get it and I think it's a great idea, but we've really only used it once or twice in all the times we've gone. I don't know...maybe it's because we don't do summers and try to hit the parks early in the day, but we never wait in a stand by line more than 10 (maybe 15) minutes at the very most. Plus I don't like being tied down to have to come back at a specific time. Knowing me, I'd be way over in another land nowhere near the ride by the time my Fast Past time came around.
But that is just us. We live in FL and come a lot so if we want to ride it, we do. And if the line is longer than we want to wait, we just skip it that time.

fast passes are great to ensure you can do busy rides on a busy day. child-switch and fast pass is a great combination for kids. the kids alternate who gets to ride with dad the second time.
you have to be fairly tactical in your fast pass planning since once you get one, you're locked out from your next one, and you want to be roughly in the vacinity of your next destination. the other thing is it's quite easy for the busy rides to 'sell out' of fast passes for the whole day. in my personal opinion, Indiana Jones, ToT, and IaSW are fast pass musts. when CarolC and i were there in January, we took turns crossing the park to get fastpasses whilst the rest the party queued or rode different rides.

single rider lines let you join a short queue to 'fill' a ride before it departs.

Take Test Track for example. If a party of two has loaded into a car then someone from the singles line will be pulled in to fill up the remaining third seat. The usually have signs saying that "Your party will be split up" but that isnt always true sometimes you may not be in the same row as someone in your party but may be in the same car. I find it to be much faster and well worth the possibilty of being split up

I agree about the FPs. I think they can be essential, at times. I had to laugh when my girlfriend complained to me a couple of weeks ago She lives in Tampa and she treated her boyfriend to aday out. Mistake #1~ She went to all 4 parks in 1 day!!! Wonder why she felt like she missed out on things?
Mistake #2~ They didnt stop for lunch... Or dinner, untill almost midnight, at the IHOP across from their motel (nothing wrong with that, except for going hungry all day and being on the run).
And heres the kicker~ She and b/f were about the people in the FP lines for Soarin, TT, and others. She complained (as did others waiting in line w her) about how *they* get to walk right in and she had to wait. I explained to her about FP. She said it still didnt seem fair. I explained it in terms that I understand best (It's like a priority seating to eat. Its not an EXACT time, but it *does* put you in front of everyone who didnt call ahead. She understands now, but she's still PO'd Next year, if she's willing, Ill have her join me for a couple of days, inc treating her to a nice lil CS lunch and a TS dinner (or the other way around... Depending on the temperment of my baby at that time ( I swear I would have advised her about the FPs if I knew she was going, and I didnt think Id have to remind a 36y old woman to eat lunch (or at least dinner at a reasonable hour!)

I think it's so funny to walk by people in the standby line and hear them grumble. Fast Passes aren't hard to understand, explanations are ALL OVER!!! I just can't believe all the people that don't do any research before a trip like that!

Can you use a fast pass after the expiration time? Suppose your window is from 1-2pm. If I show up at 3 can I get in?

If your fastpass says "return between 3-4" you can return ANYTIME after 4 and use it.

That is awesome,because I also hate having to be somewhere with only an one hour window.

Although I'm pretty sure it is up to the individual CM if they let you do this or not - it is supposed to be used within the one hour window but on certain attractions you may be able to use it later. If the ride is extremely popular and/or the park is extremely busy, I believe it is less likely.

So, what I'm saying is, you can try it but don't be surprised if they say no

I agree, with a slight amendment.

I'd say, "You can try it, and I'd be very surprised if they say "no."


Unless its on a VERY popular attraction like Soarin' or EE, when its VERY over-crowded and FP are gone (or nearly so), then it might be tougher to do.

But, even under those conditions, I've actually used "expired" same-day FP's on Soarin' several times.

I have yet to have a CM even raise an eyebrow when I was using an "expired" FP.

OP, Snow White doesn't have a FastPass - are you sure you aren't thinking about Winnie the Pooh, which is next door to Snow White and does have a FastPass???

I agree FastPasses are awesome and the only way to go when you are visiting in a more crowded time.
