Okay, let's have some fun with this one....

You know you spend too much time on the DISboards when:

You start to tell a friend something about your spouse, and you actually say "My DW/DH and I have been married for 6 years."

You can tell people the exact dates of drydock for the next three years, but don't know when your next oil change is due.

You know the name of the captian and cruise director on both the Magic and the Wonder, but can't name the people who live on either side of you.

Okay, now it is your guys turn....

When you start every sentence with.... On The Disboards........

When there is a big shortcut on your desktop to it.

When you have pad of paper next to the computer with a list of many room numbers people have mentioned that are good.

While on-site at a client's, you check in on the DIS boards while loading their software - justifying it by knowing you would have just sat there watching the little percentage bar otherwise.

When you set every sound on your computer (IM, mail notifications, startup, etc.) to sound the Disney Ship Horn.....

"WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR..." :hyper: ::yes::

When you can't sleep and instead of watching TV or reading a book you log on.

You are an expert in geography, but only in the Caribbean.

You know exactly what's being served on the Magic tonight but have no idea what you're making your family for dinner.

How about when your email address and user name start with dw!

When you are at work and tell a story and when they ask who you are talking about you answer...My on line "Friends"

You preface too many conversations with your wife with "I read on the Internet..."

Sam

When talking Disney I automatically say Akl and Wl and Ap and Dh ,etc.
My dd says speak english mom!:rotfl:

you plan your next cruise with a family you met on the DISboards.

when trying to talk family memebrsinto sailing on DCL-you don't suggest the DCL website-you give them the DISboards site.

Your kids ask you if you are talking to your DIS friends anytime you're on the computer.

Lime green is your favorite color!

When you are asking a dcl representative a question and you know more info from the boards then she does.

I had one ask me where I got the information once. She had no idea what I meant when I requested APL rotation for dinner.

When you try to explain that you still pm your tablemates that you hooked up with on the cruise meet board.

When your kids school essays revolve around a cruise taken July 2003 and one planned in 2006! (not the vacations we take inbetween)
Yes, the kids are hooked too

PS Thanks for a terrific chuckle, this thread is great!

A couple more I just thought of...

When a hurricane is approaching, you know about the change in embarkation ports and itineraries before the CM's at DCL.

You can board the ship and request a certain server and assistant, and it is your first cruise.

You know where to rent a car on St. Thomas, but aren't real sure where to rent a car at when you put your personal car in for service.

Let's keep 'em coming!

When you tell the DCL rep on the phone that you should get a 10% discount and $200 onboard credit and she tells you NO it is 25% off and you tell her no not for my cruise and then she gets back on (after supervisor chat) and says, yeah you are right.

When you've quit cleaning the house and making dinners and doing anything else around the house because you're on the DISboards all the time. When your dh starts to object a bit, you jusify it all by saying "honey, I'm not wasting time on the computer, I'm busy doing research"-----for the cruise that is 15 months away and is already booked! (but hey, I knew just what to book and where and who from, thanks to all that research!---now it's time to learn what rotation, what spa treatment, which excursions, what photo ops, and absolutely everything else!---THANKS Y'ALL!)

What a great thread!

I know I have spent too much time on the dis boards when,

There are no new threads on the DCL forum, and I am looking at other forums on the boards about things we have no plans of doing............

All of our major vacations now are planned with Dis members we met on our cruise thread, cruised with, booked on board together to cruise again, will be making reservations in the next three days for our second summer vacation together .............

We vacationed this summer, and each family was responsible for one dinner during the week. The night my family was responsible we had Bahama Mama's for our drink special, and the chocolate souffle from Palo for dessert...............

Our friends in town think we have dumped them all in favor of our "cruise friends" because we have not been socializing lately (actually, we have two teenage DD's, and one is looking at colleges all over the country, so either DH or myself are gone every weekend).............

When I find that I actually PREFER talking to my friends online from the Dis boards rather than some of my friends in town...........

When there are no new threads and I am spending 20 minutes writing a post to a poll about spending too much time on the Dis boards...............

You know you're addicted to the disboards when you're telling everyone you meet to check out the disboards for information on incoming hurricanes, cruise info, scrapping info & recipes. I spend way too much time reading these boards.

You can find it all here!!!!!!!!!!

When you stand up in your living room, sorrounded by loved ones and FINALLY admit "my name is _______ and I am a disboard addict"!! :~)
