you run your coffee pot without any water, and it takes you more than a few minutes of staring to realize what's wrong. :scratchin

It was only a matter of time, but Saturday DH forgot to put his cup under when he ran our Keurig. He cleaned it up before I saw it.:laughing:

I had a day last week where I was trying to open my office door with my car key remote and stood there for the longest time frustrated because my office door wasn't opening as I kept hitting the button on my remote.

I put black and blue socks together for dh and he wore them like that to work. Recently, I couldn't find my glasses. They were on! How dumb is that? Apparently, it did not dawn on me that I could actually see while looking for them!

I can't stop laughing:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I feel your pain as I've been there and done similar ~ not fun!!!!! :guilty:
Recently made a pot of coffee and didn't line pot up properly. I had a counter full of black coffee to clean up, definitely not fun at 6am in the morn! :eek:

Being the awesome MIL that I am (I live with my DD and her family during the winter months), one day I decided to do my Dson-in-law a "favor" and clean his coffeemaker.. (I have my own one-cup..) He - like me - is a coffee addict and if he doesn't have his coffee, it's definitely NOT pretty!!

So instead of putting water and vinegar mixed together through the coffeemaker, I did an "oops" and used just straight vinegar.. :eek: Oh my word! Killed the coffeemaker and there was vinegar all over the counter and running down the front of the kitchen cabinet..

I BEGGED my DD to call her DH at work and mention that he "might" want to stop by Walmart and pick up a "new" coffeemaker on the way home, but the BRAT wouldn't do it!! :headache:

After partially dialing the number 3 times and hanging up, I finally got the nerve to call him.. He laughed - hysterically - and said it was okay because he had been wanting a new coffeemaker anyhow with a timer on it..

Phew!!! I thought for sure I was going to have to move into a homeless shelter..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

O. M. G. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: YOU win!!!!

Thanks all. I was a little slow this morning.

Ok... slow-ER than usual.

OK FINE.. I'm lucky I can even manage the "on" button these days! :mad:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I did that Sunday morning with my Tassimo....too much Halloween party

I usually wash my cup out when I'm done with it and put it back in the machine. Saturday was insane at my house and I didn't put a clean cup in there.

When I got up Sunday morning :sick: I assumed there was a cup there. Guess not.

I am just amazed you all are mentioning these things like they are one time events?? :confused3 I do this all the time!!! Either I forget to pour the water in, or I forget to put the coffee in. Only a few times have I forgotten the cup, but at least once a month I do one or the other of the first 2.

My kids have learned to make my coffee and now they try to make it for me in the mornings, they figure it is just easier that way! They hate to see a grown woman cry. . .

:laughing: I don't think I'd done that particular thing before, but what was sad was the way I was standing there staring at it, and it was like NO wheels were turning in there, if you know what I mean.

This reminds me of a very funny friend who used straight vinegar for another use that you usually only use a very small amount to a lot of water. I'm going to let y'all figure out what it was,;) but needless to say she yelped pretty loud on contact!:scared1: Let's just say it almost killed her "coffeemaker", too.:lmao:
