Just checked Accuweather's 15 day forecast and our arrival day is Rainy with a high of 66 and low of 58. Here's hoping that Accuweather isn't very accurate. The temps sound great, but rainy? In January? I thought January was one of the least rainfall total months there were!

I can handle some rain... but how much rain is rainy??

Still keeping my fingers crossed that the weather forecast clears up as we get closer, but the rainy forecast got me thinking.... and subsequently shopping!

Checked Disney's big 75% off sale at the Disney store online and then the Disney outlet. Scored two matching rain coats for the boys. The only sizes they had left were the two I needed so SCORE! 9.99 a piece!

I also found another t-shirt for me for 7.99 and a Tink hoodie for 14.99!!

I can't go back to that website again before we leave!!! I get in trouble!


I also called ME and gave them our flight info. I swear I'd given it to a CM at some point along the way but I noticed it wasn't on our vouchers. So got that added and requested some more ME tags, since we're flying on Southwest and may actually check more than one bag per person. I really don't want to carry on any more than we have to. The boys are carry-on's enough!

Under two weeks as of TOMORROW!

Trust me, there can't be as much rain as there was in May for Jen & I. That was HORRIBLE.

With all the increased security because of the terrorist attempt Christmas Day, I was starting to get a little concerned about what time our ME bus would leave on Tuesday, the 19th. Our flight leaves at 1:25pm so if ME leaves 3 hours before hand, which is the usual time, we'd have to be on the bus at 10:25am. Assuming they don't bump the ME times up on us with the heightened state of awareness change.

Our Boma breakfast ressie is for 8:45am and it was our only breakfast buffet ressie for the trip. I don't want to rush eating at Boma breakfast for the first time. <I really need a pouty lip smilie here>

I jumped on WDW .com and got on the dining reservation site and ta da we have a breakfast buffet ressie for Monday the 18th for 8:30am. Since we cancelled LTT and considering MIL will be with us, rope drop ambitions for MK are a little lofty, I though why not?

AND I didn't cancel the Boma ressie for Tues!

Don't hate me!

If we love Boma breakfast buffet and if our ME time isn't til 10:30am and IF we get everything packed up in time, we'll try to make it to Boma breakfast on our last day too! If not, we'll just call and cancel and grab Mara breakfast instead which will give us much more flexibility!

I really need to quit tweaking things!

Three shirts... Too funny!! I knew I was a bad influence. But if I have to be a bad influence somewhere than the Disboards isn't such a bad place to be one.
I was a bit surprised at the ease of my ADR tweaking, just two weeks out and on a holiday! Both ressies I tweaked were for MLK day itself. It gives me hope that maybe it's not gonna be nutso crowded. Last January we were there a week later, Jan 21-28 and it was crazy crowded... for January at least. 50 mins standby wait for BTMRR 90 for TSM and Soarin'. FPs sold out for TSM by 10am etc. Which I thought wasn't the way January was supposed to be. I spoke to a few CMs about it last year and they said it was unusually busy for that time of year, probably because of the 4/3 deal. So when the 4/3 deal returned this year I thought well heck, if it's gonna be that crowded anyway, might as well go over MLK weekend, save an absence for Dash and get Jack-Jack a lapbaby ticket in one last time!

So yeah... the ADR tweaks are giving me hope. I just hope it's not false hope!

Princess and the Frog!!!






I'm so stinkin' excited. Not only because we're gonna get to see the movie, finally. BUT because this will be Jack-Jack's first movie in the theater!


I'm sure it's gonna be great! I'll take some pics!

Oh and accuweather this morning has swung back around to sunny with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. So who knows!

I give it a 2 as well... at least the parts that Jack-Jack let me watch!!!

It was a good trial run. He made it sitting down at our seats until the food ran out, then he wanted down... TO FIND MORE FOOD!

I caught him picking up God knows what off the floor, trying to put it in his mouth. I caught him thankfully but he was lookin' for more food!

I ended up watching the last hour as I pushed him up and down the side entrance aisles, or as I followed him as he pushed the stroller. Thank God I brought the stroller in.

I look forward to buying The Princess and The Frog on DVD so I can actually watch the whole thing! But I caught most of it and it was very very cute. Loved the New Orleans element. Great touch!

On the bright side, at least I know he'll sit through a 30 mins show with FOOD! That should get us through a few shows in Disney!

I'm laughing about it today.... yesterday, not so much!

Great movie! Came home and bought the soundtrack! With money I should be saving for Disney souvies! My justification is the soundtrack is a Disney souvie, a little early!


The weather is looking FABULOUS!!! Can't wait til we can look at a 7 day forecast and hope for more accuracy! Right now it's sunny with highs in the 60s and lows in 40s! PERFECT for us! Maybe not swimming weather, but since the pool at AKL is under refurb, that's not really a bad thing. We can use the pool at Kindani but I'm not getting on a bus in my bathing suit. NOT gonna happen!

Trust me, y'all will thank me for this decision!

i've been checking in on your PTR when i get the chance - i LOVE your new shirts! The "Toys will be toys" one is the same as the one i got for one of my nephews for Christmas. i love the Sally one as well!

Yay for being able to switch your ADRs to times that will make it easier for you. You don't want to spend your whole vacation rushing around being stressed out about being late for a ressie. The way it looks now, you will be able to leisurely get from one place to the next and have time to admire the scenery on the way!

i'm so sorry again about Bella

i was also laughing imagining your Jack-Jack appeasing antics in the movie theatre. i've never gone to the movies with a very small child and methinks i might keep it that way! Hopefully the Disney shows will be able to keep him entertained (and if all else fails, you know food bribery works!)

I've missed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Though I know you have a really great reason to be off the Dis boards. Real world comes first.


If you lived in Texas... ahem... you would have totally been at that theater with me with the boys watching the movie and it wouldn't have been so bad!! I needed an extra pair of hands or three. Thankfully Dash is a seasoned movie goer and just sat in his seat, with his eyeballs glued to the screen the whole time and I just peeked up at him everytime I made it back down to the theater on my never ending up and down pushing of the stroller.


FOOD will work for bribery... but Jack-Jack doesn't seem to know when to quit. I don't wanna make the kid sick by stuffing him full of sweets and treats just to make it through all the Disney shows. I'll be selective about the times of day we try shows and which shows we attempt. And Mr. I or MIL may wait outside on some of them, with Jack-Jack. They aren't big show people anyway. So this might be a great opportunity for Dash and I to have some quality time !

My wife and I read through your PTR last night. It was a nice Disney moment after a long drive from the Twin Cities to Kansas to see Dugette's grandpa.

We're heading out in a moment, but just wanted to say your PTR is very well-written: we were on the edge of our seats with all the twists and turns! From the magical upgrade to AKL to the elliptical return for the DDP: very suspenseful!

Sounds like your plans are great!

One quick question. I'm not familiar with TGM. What are the differences between his advice and the unofficial guide/touringplans.com?
