do you still make something that is quick and easy, or would you order pizza?

Order pizza because if I made something quick and easy I would still have to clean it up!

Well - for me, a pizza would last me a week - LOL - but if I didn't feel like cooking once in awhile, sure - why not?

Enjoy! :goodvibes

We never order pizza....not on our food plan.

I would make something quick. Salad of some kind. I did Waldorf last night. Very often it is chicken or tuna salad.

That sounds dangerously close to cooking, if you ask me since it may involve the use of knives and your brain.
;);)

I have teenage boys, so ordering a pizza would be in the cards. But if I'm feeling cheap, I'll crack open a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew for them. I don't eat that garbage, but they love it :confused3.

That's how I feel! I usually don't mind cooking, it's the cleaning up that gets me. Go for the pizza!

I let DH decide. I announce, "I think I will just feel like popcorn or cereal for dinner. You have X, Y, Z in the cupboard, which would you like to make?" And then I get in response, "Would you like me to order pizza or get Qdoba." "Which ever you would prefer, dear."

I'm orginally from Northern New Jersey where pizza is the alternate option because it's really good! Now that I don't have that option, it's not worth the $$ for the pizza choices where I live. I'd rather make something quick and easy. Our go-to easy dinner is either an omlet and salad or a chicken ceasar salad.

Just finished gardening the allotment so stopped of at the chippie for some fish and chips. Eaten out of the paper so no cleaning to do!

I hate pizza so it's never an alternative in my house unless DH and DD are the only ones eating. :lmao:

I make something quick as opposed to takeout usually--grilled cheese or baked fish and a baked potato or leftovers.

Thank you all.

We don't eat out or order pizza a lot because I do like to cook, just not in the mood today.

Nancy I would be ok with a salda, but that is what has been my lunch all week.

NMAmy grilled cheese sound pretty darn good.

I'm in the south, which means a lot of meat and three places on every corner to choose from. We usually go down the street to one of our favorite little mom and pop meat and three places, and that way we still get a "homecooked' meal without having to put any effort into it:)

For me it depends on why I don't feel like cooking.

Hot than hades out - order pizza or take out.
Don't feel good - They are on their own. If they don't want pizza or take out, they had better fend for themselves. And that includes the clean up.
Just not motivated to do it right now, long hard day at work - we eat later. Even if it's just scrambled eggs and toast, we will eat something before going to bed.
Nothing sounds good anybody in the household - everybody fends for themselves and cleans up for themselves.

In my house, no one ever cooks on Fridays -- it's "No Cook Friday" or NCF for short.

Order the pizza :goodvibes

I said something quick and easy, because dh dislikes having to pay for take out food. He really hates eating out. Of course, if it's been a while, I could talk him into a pizza.

I don't feel like cooking tonight, so I bought a steak that I'll stick on the grill and some sweet corn that just needs a quick boil. I already have a salad made, so that will make for an easy dinner.

Not much to choose from, need to go shopping.
However must drag the husband along because if I don't get something he wants, he will ask where is it. Hum hello, you didn't tell me that you wanted anything.

That sounds like my kids. I ask before I go if anyone wants anything special or any particular meals during the week. No one has any ideas for me. I get home and hear, "Why didn't you buy any good food?" (Of course, they still can't tell me what "good food" they are looking for. :confused3)

I said pizza....it's a special treat.

Our problem is lunch time...none of us particularly like "regular" lunch fare....I think if I could I would eat only supper...even then sometimes nothing sounds or tastes good. (Except chocolates or sweets)

Most of the time, I already know a day or two ahead of time what I have planned for dinner. So even if I don't feel like cooking, I go ahead and make it anyway--I wouldn't want the ingredients to spoil if I held it over till the next day (or possibly even longer, depending on what I already had planned for the next day).

Also, we have a family of 6--all boys except me! So ordering pizza or other takeout is usually pretty expensive.

Another thing is usually what I have planned to cook, is much healthier than any kind of takeout or restaurant options. Going out to eat or takeout is a huge treat/splurge, diet-wise, for me--so I try to "save up" for food/restuarants I REALLY want/crave. :thumbsup2
