My wife and I are taking our two daughters ages 11 and 8 in January and I have really been trying to figure out where to take them for a few sit down meals. They aren't super into character meet and greets anymore so no CRT. Interested to hear your thoughts. We will be there from Jan 23-30. Thanks in advance!!!

1. Sci-Fi Cafe
2. Sanaa
3. Be Our Guest

Honorable Mention: Boma for breakfast (my 10 year old loves it, but now that she is an "adult" by Disney standards, it is pretty expensive for what she eats).

I have a 10 year old daughter and she really likes those three.

My girls are around the same ages as yours and while they still love the character meals they love these three as well:1. 50s prime time cafe 2. Teppan Edo 3. Rainforest Cafe

Sci Fi Dine In, Skipper Canteen, and Garden View Tea.

Also if you're considering a few other restaurants, you could describe them to the girls and ask them which ones they would prefer.

A lot will depend on what for they like, and what they are into?
Sci Fi? Fun theming, safe choice food.
50's Prime Time? American safe choice food, antics (if you get a server who is into it.
WCC? Louder antics, LOADS of food.
Coral Reef? I've not been but, if my 11yr old was super into marine life, maybe it would be good?
O'hana? The food really suits my 11yr old, and the setting is fab.

I know that's more than three, but...

Teppan Edo has become a must-do for my 9 year old daughter. This past trip our favorite meals were Teppan Edo, Yak N Yeti (we ended up sitting at the bar as we walked up, and the bartender was great). Food choices for kids were great at both. Our previous trip La Hacienda de San Angel was great, and we loved watching illuminations.

1.) Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Who cares about the food, the room is amazing.
2.) Be Our Guest for dinner. Only time/place to meet The Beast. And my 8 y.o. has a 'thing' for lamb chops.
3.) CA Grill - the rice crispy sushi for dessert was a real treat.
4.) Sanaa - animals on the Savannah during daylight is lovely, but you have to make the trek to AKLodge.
5.) Coral Reef - she loves the room, but here she (and others) have a problem with the seafood-centric food; wife & I always enjoy the Trout with Beans & Greens.

My daughter is 11 and some of her "must dos" and her menu picks are ...

Sanaa (Lunch) - bread service and Tandori Chicken / watching the animals is pretty fun too!
Spice Rd Table - grape leaves, calamari, hummus and fish coquettes
LeCellier - Mussels appetizer and the filet
Kona breakfast - Her favorite was the Samoan :( .. we shall see if she finds something new in Oct ;)
MaMa Melrose - Chicken Parm
Boatwrights followed by Piano Bob - Chicken and waffles - great night out!

My daughter likes Boma, Chefs de France, and Be Our Guest. Boma because it has a ton of delicious vegetarian items; Chefs for the gratin de macaroni; Be Our Guest for the potato leek soup and grey stuff.

My 11 year old girl loves Yak & Yeti, Be Our Guest, 'Ohana and Rose and Crown. She also enjoyed 1900 Park Fare and Garden Grill (after saying she wanted nothing to do with characters, she loved them here)

When my daughter was a little younger she loved both sci-fi and 50s PT. She also loved getting dressed up to eat at California Grill. Plus like someone else mentioned the rice krispy sushi dessert at CG was a big hit, I have a picture of her beaming while eating that with chopsticks.

My daughter is 13 and has always loved Garden Grill (especially breakfast), 50s Prime Time, Whispering Canyon and Coral Reef.

When my girls were 8 & 11, they loved 'Ohana (Lilo and Stitch breakfast and dinner with coconut races), Garden Grill, San Angel Inn, and Biergarten. All of these restaurants have a unique atmosphere. The Garden Grill rotates slowly above The Land, San Angel has the volcano and the 3 Caballeros, BIERGarten has an oompah band.

My girls like

Teppan Edo
50's Prime Time Cafe
Whispering Canyon for breakfast

SciFi for sure! We've always had good experiences here with food. Always decent meals.
Teppan Edo...watching the chefs at work is fun. Food is yummy too.
Raglan Road at disney springs. Everyone loves watching the dancers do their thing. Food is good too!
Be our Guest - lunch or dinner

I would start with what food they like and go from there.

Menus here on wdwinfo.com, on allears.net, and last on Wdw's site.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I think we have narrowed it down to the following:

Be Our Guest: Lunch, they don't care about the beast
Tusker House: Dinner
Crystal Palace: Breakast
50's Prime Time Cafe: Dinner
Chef Mickey: Breakfast
