She is definitely an amazing person and a legend around here. The comment on lower taxes is a bit of joke I'm sure - no such thing.

The city is debt free and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Mississauga is adjacent to Toronto and had the benefit a vast amounts of empty land just waiting to be developed. Nothing like steadily growing tax revenue to help balance the books.
