We've never been the type to worry about keeping too much food in the room, yet we're able to eat on a pretty tight budget. We do the food court for breakfast (I always have the kids breakfast platter) and my children just get sides of what they want. We buy the refillable mugs so that we don't have to purchase drinks in the food court and we carry one or two into the parks for water (however, you may ask for a cup of complimentary water at any counter service rest..) We make one meal a day our "big" meal and then just have something light for the other meal. I happen to love some of the counter service restaurants in all 4 parks and often have a kids meal or share a regular meal with someone in my party. We budget for our favorite PS meals and usually do buffets so we can pretty much count on the total price with tax/gratuity. The portions are usually very large and I've never had a problem with telling a server that we intend to share. They don't mind at all. We do keep some snacks in our room for "down time". Have a wonderful trip.
