You call that a creative Disney travel tip?

So a travel company ran a 'creative disney tip' contest. Whoever tweeted the most creative tip won a trip to the world. The winner?

“WDW isn’t just for kids! Adults can enjoy golfing, spa time, fine dining, water sports, shopping, and behind the scenes tours!”

I apologize if the winner was a fellow DISer and I hope they enjoy their trip, but total failure in the creativity selection on the part of the company.

ITA. That sounds like something pulled from a brochure . Certainly not what I would consider "creative"

Well, to be fair I imagine what would pass as creative to the normal traveler would be pretty old hat to us here on the DIS. We have a very skewed view of Disney because we are such fan boys.

and that was the best one that she came up with? ... and it won?! ... not so creative, IMO ...

Lot's of entries were 'get a fastpass' 'get parkhoppers' and even several GAD mentions even though it was over already.

I tweeted about the YES program open enrollment- unique educational experiences and cheap tickets!

My DH tweeted about looking for the paint brush on Tom Sawyer Island and turning it in to a cast member for a surprise.

I saw someone that I don't personally know tweet about having your daughter wake up Tinkerbell- that would have been a better one as well.

I agree. I can think of about 100 that are more CREATIVE than 'go golfing, shopping and get a massage'. I guess we need to keep in mind that as a travel company, they are using this contest for marketing purposes. Nothings more profitable/marketable than telling someone that there are hundreds of opportunities to spend more $$$. The contest should have been titled, 'marketing tip contest'. People like me who are trying to save some $$$ appreciate the creative Disney tips....so here I am, on the disboards....

ALL her tweets from that time period are gone. Including the one she won with. I only know because every once in awhile I was searching for tweets to see what the other entries looked like, and she always had several recent ones when I looked.

That being said, the girl's tweet was not creative at all, IMO.
