Just been looking at the Yotel in gatwick, never heard about it before! Has anyone here ever stayed in one? What did you think of it? I think it looks really cool, thinking about staying in one if we go to Florida in 2009! I like things that are a bit different! :upsidedow

Website is here...

Sorry, can't help with experience, but it looks very different. If it's just you, or two of you, think it would be fab - as long as you can do day before check in! Seems cheap too - and at least you have all of the airport shops and restaurants very close at hand.

Let us know what you decide!

Sounds like an awesome idea. People pay for rooms like that on trains and slightly larger ones on cruise ships, so why not for an overnight hotel stay on the way to someplace else!

I haven't stayed there but we're looking into staying there too.
I've asked on another forum about it and so far all the reactions I've had about it were very positive. The only complaint is noise with it being such thin walls so take ear plugs!
The basic rooms are managable for 2 people but we'd go for a premier room.

Yes, I think we would go for a premier room too, not much extra £ but the room looks much larger.

I've stayed in the one in Gatwick in Jan!!!

We didn't stay in the premier one but I would suggest getting one of those as they are very small!

I thought they were brilliant though-nice furnishings, spotless and the staff were very helpful. We didn't find it too noisy but it wasn't very bust when we stayed.

I would thoroughly recommend it - you get sky tv channels and you can hire films, there is also free internet access in the room too through the tv (although its not very good). We only paid £50 for the night-a complete bargain!

I would suggest doing the twlight bag drop in if your airline does because the rooms are small and it frees up valuable floorspace.

Let me know if you have any questions
