Yorkshire County Fish Shop

We used to love the fish at Yorkshire County Fish Shop, but the last 3 times in the past 2+ years that we have eaten there, it has definitely changed. The batter is still delicious, the fish is always hot and fresh but the type of fish has certainly changed. We probably won't be going back there again unless we hear that they once again start serving the fish that they had served for years and years. It was our favorite!

I had it yesterday and wasn’t super impressed. TOO much batter in my opinion. And the fries had zero salt and were over cooked. Was pretty disappointed.

We also loved the fish years ago and then stopped eating it when they switched it to Tilapia which was very thin and mushy. After having to throw our meals away twice, we stopped going.
A couple of years ago they switched to hake which is in the cod family. Well we tried it and it was really good! It's back to being a favorite for us.

Good to know as our last time we dined there it was Tilipia which was mushy and terrible. I read the threads about it changing, had not seen that they changed again.
