I play oboe, flute, english horn and piccolo. I minored in music in college. I spent WAY too much money (even 20yrs ago) to not keep them up in playing condition.

Well, I don't understand why you don't play clarinet, sax & bassoon? It's a short jump!!

I was going to major in music in college and even had a decent scholarship to SUNY Fredonia. Things didn't work out (long story) and ended up taking Dental Hygiene & dropping out after one semester. That career path was NOT for me.

DH & I are bringing the GEM over on Friday & spending the day. Then, we'll be back around 7:30 Saturday nite for the "party"!

If I'm going to be the director of the FtW Philharmonic, anyone can join - even if you can only play a kazoo or a triangle!!

Purcussion instruments can be made out of most anything! Hitting beer bottles with a stick makes for a nice effect - especially if they have varying amounts of beer in them. You can make all the notes in the scale! Also, any woodwind players should be able to play most any song by blowing into a beer bottle. See? There's something for everyone!! No one is excluded from MY philharmonic!!

Crocodiles and alligators are surprisingly fast on land. Although they are rapid, they are not agile; so if you ever find yourself chased by one, run in a zigzag line. You'll lose him or her every time.

Oh dear, John. Must I explain everything to you? You take EMPTY beer bottles and fill them with water. Why would you let a beer get warm just so you can use it for a percussion instrument??? NO SEAT IN PHILHARMONIC FOR YOU!!! (I am philharmonic nazi!)
