This is my first time writing. I have been visiting and reading this forum for some time now. I have to thank you, I have learned so much from all of you. I'm going to Disney May 9-12, the beach one day, and also to Universal. It's been a rough past year and I can't wait. I've had so much fun planning.
I had to write because I am so excited. And to let you know that with your guidance I have managed to get my CBR rooms for $74/nite. I've never stayed at a moderate resort - only Allstars Sports which was nice enough. Do you think I'll notice much of a difference by jumping up to a moderate? I couldn't beat the price. I had reservations with codes from www.mousesavers.com but just received a postcard from Disney. Seems silly they would send me better rates considering they already have my money - but I am not complaining! I'll spend the money I saved there at Disney anyway so I guess they're not really losing anything! I hope you all get postcards too...
I also bought 3 day park hopper passes from www.centralfloridatravel.com (for only$155). The woman was so nice and I got my order so fast. I also purchased Universal tickets from them (3 days for only $92). I would highly recommend them.
We are also staying at the Windsor Palms Resort. I got a 3 bedroom condo for $74 / night through www.closesttodisney.com. Simon is very nice. I haven't stayed here before but have heard nice things about the place.
I'm sorry if I sound like I'm bragging. Now if I can only find good airfare from Harrisburg, PA and for a rental car for my family who is meeting us down there. Any suggestions? I'm driving down with my DH and 5 yr old DS.
Thanks again for making the magic even better (cause it won't break my bank!). If any of you have stayed at Windsor Palms please let me know what you thought (or if you have any info on the Magic Dunes Golf Course I've heard is close by - I have golfers in the family).
By the way, my DS asked if Mickey was real or just pretend. His friend told him it was all just make believe. I told him the magic was very much real in my opinion and he would see for himself. What would you say?
