Last time I went to Disney I was in college (w/ my parents) I grew up going to disney every year. But my DH has never been and refused to go bc he thinks its for kids. Now he finally agreed to go bc we could not get reservations at any beach resorts and we have kids. I hope he likes it enough to go back soon. Especially since we are going Christmas week so we wont be able to see as much.
I wish we were going at a slower time.
But I am so excited and have been planning for a month. DH thinks I'm mad.

Have a great time! I hope you are successful in luring him back again soon!

Doesn't that sound sad? I finally dug out my old photo albums to see when the one trip I made as a child with a friend's family was -- summer of '76. So nearly 30 years later I am going back to the World and DH and the kids are going for the first time!! (he thinks I'm mad too!)

We are going Christmas week too, but I am excited nevertheless and will follow some wise advice read here -- just enjoy the magic of being there and not get hung up on having to see/do everything because it WILL be crowded. Can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc

Just a suggestion, before you go make sure to tell him to watch your kids when they first get onto Main Street, when they first meet ::MickeyMo, when they arrive in the lobby of one of the Disney hotels, when they first ride xxx, etc. If that does not make him a repeat visitor, I do not know what will.

Im getting mine to go for the first time everf, and I havent been in like 15 years, I am super excited

My DH did not want to go at first but went because I wanted to and now we are going on our third trip next year.... I got him hooked.

I practically had to bribe my bf to go to WDW. I will never forget the look on his face when he saw the castle for the first time. He immediately stopped and took about 10 pictures just of the castle. Then he bought Mickey ears (actually, they were a gift from me, but he really wanted them) and wore them while I took a pic of him in front of the partners statue. Now he can't stop planning for our next trip!

Enjoy!

When we go in Jan it will have been over 13 years since I have been and even longer for Dh. The first for our girls.
