YIKES!!! The phone system!

I am trying to modify an existing reservation and am on hold for an agent. What is wrong with the phone system?? "Say or key in an option" and NOTHING HAPPENS. Usually you don't have to wait for the whole spiel, you can just say what you want at any time and the next step happens. Not today; had to listen to the whole thing, and then it was like there was no reponse to the input. Press 2, and nothing. Press 2 again, and nothing...and on and on. What happened??? Did they change it? If so, it's awful now. Anyone else have this problem or is it just lucky me???

Their "interactive" voice system leaves a lot to be desired.
 
I just keep saying "agent" until I'm connected to someone.
Oh, and don't say press the button for modify. I've found the phone is answered more quickly when I'm making a new reservation no matter the purpose of my call. ;)
 

They might be having phone issues. I ordered tickets for universal today to print at home. I called because I didn't receive the email. I was told that they were having a lot of problems because of rain storms.
 
hey both WDW and US have been in Florida long enough to know about the Florida storms. yes Orlando is the lightening capital of the US - but these companies know that.
 
They been having problems since day one. I am getting tired of reeling my reservation number 2 times and then have to repeat again wit the CM. I told her why do you all bother with it when it doesn't transfer. She told I wasn't the only one who complain about it. They don't like it either. It is not the weather. It the call system at Disney. They need to fix it. My views only.
 
I had a horrible time with it today too. The system couldn't hear my voice commands and didn't recognize when I hit the numbers on my key pad either.:headache::headache::headache:

Honestly, it didn't get much better once I did get an agent. She kept reading me back my phone number and zip code wrong, and then said she couldn't find my reservation. Gee, I wonder why.:rolleyes:. I finally hung up on her, and called back and finally got an agent that was on the ball. It took over an hour to do something very simple. :badpc:
 
Do you need to call a live person to modify a reservation? Why can't you do everything on their website?
 
Omg! I thought it was just me! It was so bad yesterday when I called I literally got so annoyed trying to get the automated system to understand me I hung up cursing!

If room only with a military discount you have to call. Not all can be change online. I wouldn't do it myself don't trust it. They have messed up my FP ADRs you name it they done it. My views only
 
I had the same experience yesterday trying to change a reservation. First time no problems but an awful CM, second time the computer didn't acknowledge most of what I said or anything that I typed in so I just hung up and when I redialed the 3rd time I once again had no problems AND I got a helpful CM. Now, I'm just going to hang up if the computer puts me in that ridiculous loop where it doesn't understand anything.
