YIKES!!! Little tikes is soooo expensive!

Anyone ever see a place where they make down Little Tikes climbers etc?? We are looking for a climber for DD. Some of the online sites have great prices but then when you add shipping.....WOW. I guess the best thing is to wait for Garage sales....we are out of the loop as DD and DS are both teenagers and now.....WHEEEEE a new DD. We had a great big swing set in the yard built by grandpa when they were little . I am going to check garage sales and Ebay (Again shipping is out of this world). Does Toys R Us or Target or Wal mart ever have sales on this stuff???Do they mark them down once the summer season is over? We are in Rochester NY and I dont ever see any Step 2 of Little Tikes stuff for Pick up on Ebay.......Oh well, we can keep going to the playground.

Watch your ToysRUs adds. They usually have B1G1 soon. I used to get it for my DS birthday in June and also get some to hold for Christmas. I think the free one had to be under $24, but I could still get a shopping cart or a infant swing. I think maybe even a sandbox. We hit the jackpot for his 1st birthday as grandparents on both sides did it also.

Too bad you don't live in PA...we have a Step Two playhouse, a Little Tykes turtle sandbox and a Cozy Coupe to get rid of!! We need to have a yard sale soon!!

Good luck with the sale. If it is anything like up here (Rochester NY) if you mention Little Tikes, or Step 2 in your Garage Sale add you WILL have early birds......my best friend had one 3 years agao (before I new about SURPRISE BABY DD) and she put "Little Tikes Toys" in the add for the newspaper.....the toys (climber, toddler bed and car) within minutes! I am going to have to camp out at Garage sales this summer to get some good deals! Good luck with your sale.

At my last garage sale, people noticed the Little Tikes climber in the backyard (nowhere near where I was doing my sale) and were making offers!!! At the time DS was still using it, but I think next time I have a sale I am going to sell it. I am sorry you don't live close by!

I sold most of my Little Tykes stuff yesterday at my friend's garage sale! Just keep checking Saturday morning sales. Everyone sells theres eventually! (BTW...sold the climber w/slide for $20, Cozy Coupe $15)

check out www.craigslist.org to see if any are for sale in your area. craigslist is a free site that you can use to list things for sale, things wanted etc. Just click on your city on the right hand side and then under "for sale" click "baby and kids". You can do a search for "little tikes" and it will bring up an items that match. I have sold a couple of things on there. It might be worth a shot to find someone local.

If you do end up buying something new, check WalMart before Toys R Us. We bought a large, plastic climber with tunnels, slides etc. two years ago at this time. Garage sales around here are usually a waist of time, though I do TRY to find things like this. Anyway, we bought it at Toys R Us when it went on "Sale", figuring it would be the only place in our area to carry it, and then we saw it at Wal Mart for quite a bit less!
