Yet another yard sale question . . .Cleaning outside toys

We are having a yard sale in a couple weeks, all proceeds to our Disney vacation fund of course. :earsgirl: The Budget Board seems to have a lot of yard sale experts, so I thought I'd post this question:

We have a number of big outdoor toys to sell, like a play cube, slide, cozy coupes, etc. They are all the durable stuff that lasts forever by Little Tikes and Step 2 . So my questions is how to get them sparkling clean! Everything we have is structurally perfect but yucky looking from a few seasons outside. I've tried scrubbing them with hot water, detergent, brushes, sponges, but there is still a lot of black discoloration. Is there any way to get these clean? I know I will get triple the price for clean toys as I would for yucky. Anybody have any luck with any particular cleaners?

Thanks in advance!
:D

If you have access to a pressure washer that works GREAT!!!!!!!!!! my grandfather has one and we were able to spray them down and they came out squeaky clean princess:

We have some spray for Patio furniture that worked great on our stuff. We used a scrub brush with it.

Try Clorox Cleanup With Bleach. I have used it on Little Tykes and pario furniture. Works great!:D

I'll third the Magic Eraser. I used it on some little tikes toys and it worked like a charm. Too bad the toys didn't sell at my yard sale  You just never know!!??

Wow, I knew I could count on you guys! I have not had a question on ANY topic yet that wasn't answered by the DISboarders. Thanks!::yes::

I guess I'll start with the Magic Eraser since it has "three votes," and I have one from the last free sample that I've never used. Thanks for the new sample link, mom2alix, I went ahead and ordered that too!

If that doesn't work, I'm heading to the store to find Clorox Cleanup With Bleach or some patio furniture spray. We don't have access to a pressure washer, though it would come in handy sometimes.

I'll let you know how it works out! Thanks again to ALL of you!:D

Thanks for the link for the Magic Eraser.
I just ordered one for me for my home, ordered one for me and had it sent to work and then I ordered one for my mom :)
Thanks.

A little off topic, but in order to keep your outdoor toys from getting that yucky, you can coat them with car wax. Just like when you wax your car, you wipe it on and buff it off. But be aware it can make the surfaces slippery (but that is great for the slides!)..................P

I was going to suggest the Magic Eraser here too. Before that we always used the "scrubbing bubbles" bathroom cleaner and had good luck with it! :)

I'm glad you are washing your outdoor toys. We just bought a Little Tykes house from a neighbor. It was filthy. I would have been willing to pay more if it was clean. She said she paid $400 for it about 7 years ago, I paid her $80.

We got it home, washed with soap and water and then dh used lighter fluid to get off the grease. DD is very happy!

Just wanted to add my 2 cents.....BTW I like the Car wax idea....

Thanks for the link for the magic eraser. I have heard others rave about this product.
