Actually its a transfer point question.

If you have points transfered to you from another member who has a different home resort can you use those transfered points at the 11 month window for the home resort it was transfered from, or only from your home resort?

And to make it even more difficult, if you have more than 1 home resort, which would it be transfered to for the window, if the above case does not apply?

I just transferred points to another member's account. The DVC "rules" say that the points retain their ORIGINAL UY. This made my "buyer" very happy. He owned at OKW, but wanted a Grand Villa at BWV (my home), and was therefore having members transfer points into his account. As I was the first "seller" he had negotiated with, he asked to call and verify with MS. They told me that, in spite of what the "rules" said...points, once transferred become, by default, the home of the person receiving the points....but, he could request to keep the points as BWV if that is what he chose.

Well, the buyer emailed me about a week later and said that the ressie had been a REAL pain for him. He said that in order to keep the points as BWV points, the ressie had to be made "after hours" and entered manually into the system. He said it took 4 phone calls and was very frustrating!!!

As to your question about which contract it would go to if you own more than one....I am assuming you could tell MS which contract you want it to go to. We just added on at VWL, and since our UY is different from BWV, we got a new membership number. So, if I was receiving points from another member, I could just tell MS which contract I wanted the points to go to. Now, I am thinking that if I wanted to "make" some of my BWV points into VWL points (or vice versa), I could transfer one contract's points into another contract. I don't know if MS would allow it...but, I bet they would....at least until they fix the "glitch" in their system.
