Yet Another PhotoPass Question

I understand how it works....My question is this..

If you chose the option of purchasing the cd... I know its $100. Do they add the extras to it on the cd? Like I seen someone have a picture in their signature their family pointing to the ground and Stitch comes out of it. Does the CD come with extras like that?

Also, I will be staying for a week. Where/when would I purchase it? Thanks

We purchased one last week... and they did add the extras... character signatures... characters in hands... dates, etc. They said they wouldn't do them all... but they did plenty.

I think there are only a couple of places where you can buy your cards for the week and other parks (seems several places sell them but only for THAT park... and only for a certain number of hours).

We bought ours in Toon Town. Had several cards from all the parks... in a 72 hours time frame. We waited in a long line on Main Street... only to find out that they couldn't pull up our photos from the other parks. So check it out before waiting!

My headache now is that I'm going through an act of Congress to get Walmart to print them. The release form from Disney gives you permission... in extremely difficult to read legal terms. The first Walmart employee told me I couldn't do it... I got the manager... and she agreed I could do it... except for the fact that Disney didn't put their name on the release page. They are afraid to print them.

I haven't had time to fully take on that battle... but if I bought one over... I get the sales person to write on their business card with a phone number and Disney's name... in SIMPLE english... that it was okay for Walmart to print the photos!

It's a great program... but for me... it's a problem... still hoping to resolve!

they did about half of our pics with signatures and my dds holding tink in their hands and borders i thought they were great!!! we went to toon town to recieve our photo pass cd..... we ended up with 3 different cards and they put them all together...... vicki

You don't "buy" the PhotoPass card. The first photographer that takes your picture will give you one. We just got back yesterday and we used the same card in all four parks. Tell the photographer you're going to buy the CD and encourage him/her to take EXTRA shots! We got pix of just the kids, just the adults, the whole gang, etc. I went to Epcot on the last day to get our disc and was able to see all the photos while I chatted with the guy (Patsy) who added all the borders, signatures, characters and logos, as well as doing some cropping, etc. The best part is that you get the UNedited photos on your CD as well as the ones they enhance.
The release form that comes with the disc plainly states that "Disney Photo Imaging" is the Seller and conveys the intellectual property rights to the pictures. Instead of arguing with the photo people at your local store, you could buy a photo printer for the price of developing a few rolls of film. I got mine for 60 bucks and it does beautiful prints. I can choose if I want 4x6 or 5x7 or 8x10 and make as many as I want.

when we went in January - we were told that the only places to see and edit all your photos was at epcot and at the grand floridian in the gift shop. good luck!

I'm a bit confused about getting photo's w/ Tink in your hand, etc. I read another thread that photographers in certain areas of MK will add Tink. So do you just mention to photographer that you want a "Tink in hand" photo and he poses you so that she can be added later? I'd love to have these types of photos but I'm a bit confused.

im sure you can do that...... he just told us what to do and we did it....i really didnt even know what to expect.... i have never seen this done before.... the first day we got there he took 3 pics infront of the castle and he told us to look and point at the ground infront of dd 9 so we did and then that was it..... we thought wow that was going to be a strange picture but what the heck ..... strange is good...... but it was the cutest pic it is in my sig...... but i cant seem to figure out how to make it just a bit smaller?? anyway i suggest use the photo people alot if you plan to buy the cd anyway.... there are so many of them i wish we would of used them more....thats what next time is for..... vicki

I know you didn't ask about this, but I do NOT recommend getting your CD in the Judge's Tent in ToonTown (3 places to get the CD - Epcot, GF and Toon Town) . People coming out of meet and greets are in line in Toon Town to get pictures. It took me 45 minutes just to get to the counter and there were only 6-7 people in front of me. With everyone looking at all of their photopass pictures, editing, cropping, adding touches, etc... this process is extremely slow and I hope that Disney adds more locations to pick up the CDs in the future. Through the mail would be even better! Yah right!

Definitely have your picture taken by as many photopass photographers as possible. We didn't have to ask about the pictures with added things - we did the one where we pointed to Stitch in the ground, pointed to Stitch on stairs by the Streets of America (MGM), our boys with their hands together and baby Simba in there, the one where they are holding Tinkerbell, etc... The photographers just did them for us. Asking can never hurt, though.

If you forget your original photopass, you *can* get a second one and they will put both sets of pictures onto the CD. I know this because I forgot my original photopass one day and needed to get another one. It was no problem to get all of the pictures, from both cards, onto my CD.

Have a great trip! :smickey:

Thank you *SO* much for posting this information. If I had only known that I could order the CD from home, I'd never have waited as long as I did to get it in the park!! There's always next time. :smickey:

The link says "Character signatures and borders are not included on the CD, even if you made edits to the photos in your account on DisneyPhotoPass.com"

Are they talking about the special effect too? Like stitch coming out of the ground, holding tink etc? Sorry for so many questions...all the info is so confusing.
