Yet another Palo question

If you make reservations at Palo for one night with another couple, can that other couple make reservations for a different night as well? Basically, can you double dip if dining as a group?

Thanks!

Amanda - We did this but when we told the person taking the Palo ressie, she said it was not allowed. We had to pretend like we didn't know our friend staying in a different stateroom. We booked our ressie for 3 under our stateroom and then my friend booked her ressie for 3. It went off without a hitch and we enjoyed 2 brunches! We could have done the same with dinner, but decided against it.

Enjoy!

Hi amandaC! I think they've changed their policy on this. They did use to let each stateroom make a ressie. Last week on the Magic we made a ressie for 10. We didn't ask for another ressie but the host immediately said this ressie would count as a ressie for each stateroom. He said if we wanted another we would have to go on a waiting list.
Good luck!

I really think the spirit of the rule is that each adult gets one chance at a Palo dinner reservation after boarding the ship. (Also, one chance for brunch and one chance for tea, on cruises that offer these.) Then, after everyone has had a chance, you can try to get additional reservations (or waitlist slots) on subsequent days.

Sure, if you have multiple staterooms and you overstate the number of adults in each, you can probably get away with getting more than one Palo dinner reservation per adult. But these reservations may come at the expense of other passengers who board after you. That doesn't seem fair.

I would recommend going with the spirit of the rule. That's what we did, even though we had two staterooms, and only two adults.

And by the way, Stacy--
Thank you so much for adding us to your Palo reservations on Monday night! You know, I wasn't even going to ask for dinner ressies after we made ours for brunch. To think we would have missed that fabulous experience!!!! :earseek:

Deb - You are VERY welcome!!! We thoroughly enjoyed your company that evening. I would hate for anyone to miss out on a dinner at Palo - particularly that wonderful souffle!

Hi Mickeyfan and disneybride! We were at Palo's Monday night too! I'm assuming you were talking about the 2/5 magic? We were the large group - 10 in the middle round table. It was one of the highlights of our trip to be sure!
