Yet another check in question...

It looks like anther BIL may be joining us. We will get into CA early, check into the villa by 7:00 am and leave bags at Bell desk then head to parks. BIL will be flying in and will then need to also leave his bags with the bell desk until the room is ready. How wil
this work? Can I just check in, as the member, and then can he just let them know he's here and also leave his stuff at the bell desk, or do we need to meet up with him at the Grand and verify he's staying with us? His name will, of course, be on the reservation.

There's nothing preventing him from checking his bags with bell services - no one will need to meet him there for that. You can arrange to have a key (even though it won't unlock your not-ready room yet) at the front desk for your BIL.

He can check into the room and go up to it if it's ready when he arrives. If the room is not ready then he can check his bags too, just like you.
