Yet another Cat. 3 Question...

I am currently in 8100 for my cruise on the Wonder, I have had that suite on the Magic and we loved it, EXCEPT it doesn't have the jacuzzi tub. We can switch into 8532, it has come open, and it looks to be extra large also. This is the one bedroom next to the Roy Disney suite. Has anyone seen both of these and could give me a comparison? Or has anyone got an opinion of 8532?

Room 8532 is one of the 4 best Cat 3 suites on either ship. It is wider although not quite as deep as the other standard cat 3 rooms. It has the fold down bed in the living room rather than the bedroom and seems more spacious according to those who have stayed in both. The main difference between 8100 and 8532 is that 8100 is a handicapped accessible cabin and is at the very back of the ship (versus mid-ship for 8532). As you know, the verandah in 8100 is quite large - you will get a more standard configuration verandah in 8532 (although it is still approximately triple the width of a cat 5 verandah).

If it were me, I would jump on 8532 as it is a highly desirable cat 3 with a great configuration and great ship location.

Good luck with your decision!

If 8532 is available, GRAB IT! The room is 50% longer than most other Category 3's. And the Murphy bed is in the living room rather than in the master bedroom.

I've been in both, one of the four mid-ship Cat. 3s and one of the handicapped-accessible ones. The mid-ship ones are SMALLER than the handicapped ones (by far) but they have the triple-length verandah with the plexiglass (which I prefer to the solid metal verandahs at the rear of the ship).

I don't use the whirlpool tub so that doesn't matter to me. I would take 8532 just for the verandah, though. You're also a little farther away from being under the Goofy Pool Stage than I was (we were in 8034) so you should be a little more immune to the NOISE overhead when there is a performance there.

Enjoy! :)

I saw pictures of 8602 on Barb and Tony's site, and it shows a
"soaker tub". Do 8100 and 8600 not have this?

Thanks! ;)

Thanks, Robin. :)

Do the handicap staterooms have the murphy bed in the LR or BR? I assume they are larger than the other cat 3's. :)

The handicapped Cat. 3s sleep FOUR only, they do not have murphy beds at all.
