My DF just purchased our PAP last summer as part of the SSR promotion and they were activated last summer. My question to the board is do we get new PAP's when the old one's expire or do we just keep the one's we have which would just be extended on the system at Disney?

Our present PAP's will still be good for our upcoming visit in July/August, but will soon be in need of renewal after that.

Any insight would be greatly appriciated.

You will be issued new passes. Depending on how often you visit WDW, we have found it's cheaper to let the AP expire then get a new one for our next visit. Why pay for days when you are at home.

If you were going back in Sept, a renewal might be good. But if you aren't going back until spring or summer, why not just get the extra months? We usually get new ones each time and try to squeeze at least two trips into the 12 month time frame.

I agree with the others. We usually buy a new AP if we are going to have several months of no travel between the old one and the "renewal". It just makes more sense unless you live near enough to take spur of the moment trips.

You get an additional 10% savings if you renew 30 days before to 30 days after your current passes expiration date. I agree that if you are going soon after that, then it's worth the renewal to get the discount. Otherwise it pays better to wait.
