Yesterday was such a cool day!

I was in an african drumming workshop at my skewl and i missed lessons 3 and 4 (maths and french). There was about 40 of us and i was so scared to start with because i haven't done anything like that before, my friends had talked me into it this time and it had taken a lot of persuading. Whatever happened though i was determined to have fun and enjoy the concert in the evening that we were going to watch them in. Well to my absolute horror I got given a big drum and i had 2 sing in a little quartet. Can you imagine what i felt like when they anounced that they wanted us in their concert! By the end of the 2 hour workshop i was smiling so much and then i got asked to show them to room 1 where they could have some food. They were all tlking to me and my friend Kathryn and saying we were absolutly fabulous and they were so nice. Mrs Whittingham had a bright idea that the choir could go and sing them prayer for Africa to them so off we went and to our surprise they started singing along. We must have looked puzzled because they explained that it is actually their national anthem! they were so thrilled that we'd come and sung it for them that they wanted that in the concert to! The concert was out of this world! they had us all dancing and moving to the music. They even got the teachers up to do the funky chicken dance! Wow what a day. I couldnt stop smiling and i said to my friends thank you so much for talking me into that, i had one of the best days of my life over and over again.

P.S. As regards the Bugsy Malone photos, they will be up just as soon as i work out how to get them up! Im going bowling with lots of the cast next weekend to so ill take some piccys then and put em up 4 ya!
