Im an annual pass holder and typically avoid summer months. However with working today in orlando I went up yesterday to the parks and figured I'd give some inputs.

I was at the gate for the opening of Typhoon lagoon yesterday. this was my first time at a WDW water park (I dont typically do them).

Started with Crush N Gusher. Now please dont get upset here but, I felt that the ride was a bit overhyped. Its so so short. Wow, I couldnt believe how quickly it ended. I mean its literally like 15 seconds or something like that.

The slides were fun but I'm just too out of shape to be doing all the steps it takes to get up for a 15 second ride. Wow, im so out of shape!

lazy river -awesome!

Wave Pool - wow! this thing is amazing! that wave is so big its actually intimidating when it comes at you.

Went to Mk last night. Listen, summer at WDW is for the birds. No thank you. Wow thats brutal!

the crowd was intense!!!!

It was amazing to hear the MNEP music at MK again. Awesome! Parade was great!

Fireworks. Wow wow Wow. Peeps listen, I LOVE LOVE LOVE wishes, but you gotta see this show. IMO this show is just the best ever. I think its just the best I've seen at MK and I'd be willing to give up wishes for thsi show.

Really interested to hear about the waterparks - it's been years since I've been to a WDW waterpark (that would be river country in 1989, I think.) We were thinking of upgrading our APs to include waterparks - did you think it was worth it? (We have 3 boys - ages pre-school to pre-teen.)

Hi Pixarmom.

Its interesting you ask about if its worth upgrading. I have an AP and honestly I felt its worth it if you have kids. I have a 2 year old so it'll be some time before its worth it for me.

Unfortunately for me, my knees, ankles, and hips, along with being out of shape make it very hard for me to walk up the hills, but I definately think its worth it.

I think typically they are 1/2 day parks (for ME), but, the thing is I'd go back tomorrow.

I was impressed with typhoon Lagoon. Just FYI, the lazy river runs around and through the entire park. Pretty impressive in it's own right.

I'm going to move this to our trip report board.
