Yes, we do need to brush our teeth

DD15 was getting all her stuff ready to go to a birthday party/sleepover this evening. We were just about to go out the door and I asked her- "Did you pack your toothbrush?" And she said- "Why bother. I'm sure I won't be brushing my teeth."

Do I have the only 15 year old who doesn't see the need to brush her teeth on a daily basis?!?!?!

My brother is 17 and I still have to remind him to brush his teeth every morning. It's pretty gross, actually.

At least he showers regularly. I count my blessings with that.

Yep, DS10 and DS14. DS10 will always tell me that he brushed them last night.

Oh, she is very meticulous about showering and shampooing. In fact, she's extremely clean and always looks quite nice. It's just those darn pesky teeth, which also look nice although I'm not sure how. At least she has four less to worry about now that she's had her wisdom teeth removed.

Same type of thing - but a little bit different. We had company about 4 or 5 years ago, and when the family's daughter WHO WAS ABOUT 14YO went to the bathroom, her mom had to ask ask her if she washed her hands afterwards. EWWW. She had not, so she went back to the bathroom to finish up.

See, that's what I don't understand. My daughter hates germs. Purell hand sanitizer is her best friend. So, I don't get how she forgets to brush her teeth.

That's my 13yo ds. Go figure!!

Although it's sort of a relief to know that he's not the only one who has to be reminded to brush!
