There was talk on another thread that there would be no decorations for the holidays. I will be there at the end of November and was interested in seeing if there would be something "special" going on. So I emailed Guest Services and this was their response. :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :bounce:

Ms. Hebert

I wonder, when all this is supposed to start. We're having a hard time deciding where to go over the Thanksgiving holiday. If I knew for certain they would have the Christmas activities going on by then, it would make going to back to UO look much more appealing. It's not like we need a reason, but I really want a trip that will get us into the Christmas spirit. That's hard to do, when you live in a place that's sunny & 75 degrees at Christmas. :teeth: No complaints from me though. I love it!!! :sunny:

I know what you mean about sunny and hot for Christmas. I was looking for another post about Grinchmas (the one where people are disagreeing about whether or not decorations will be put up). Someone posted some of their pics. One pic had the Grinchmas logo with November 18 to January ?? (i cant remember, and for the life of me cant find the original post)
so hopefully by thanksgiving all will be up and ready. xxcrossingfingersxx

last year for a couple of Grinchmas' we actually wore shorts and a sweatshirt. at the Macy's parade it sprinkled some rain, so we bought hot chocolate to warm us up. :) thankfully, the booth selling hot chocolate had the option of a shot of liquor and was pouring them into refillable stainless steel travel mugs.

Yes, we're all wimps. :rolleyes1 Only south & southwest Floridians need hot chocolate to warm up from a sprinkle of rain, when everyone else is wearing shorts. :p BTW, we could be neighbors. :wave2:

I don't know how people go to the parks wearing tank tops & shorts in the winter. Anything below 65 is freakin' cold for me!

I emailed the guy from the universal excitement website. It looked like he visited the park quite a few times. So I just asked him if he ever went at that time. He said he goes every year for his b'day on Nov. 10th and it was always decorated by then. So hope this helps with your decision to go or not at that time.

Well, I booked HRH for 11/22 to 11/26. I also booked Emeril's for Turkey Day, while I was at it. That's subject to change though. I just wanted to have a ressie in case there's no special Thanksgiving meal that catches my attention. If noone in the family experiences a great epiphany telling us to go somewhere else, we'll see you there. :teeth: :wave2:

PS: I just had a great idea! We could all go to Phamton's house for Thanksgiving dinner, since she lives so close. :rotfl:

That is a great idea :thumbsup2 I have been trying to decide where the 8 of us should eat Thanksgiving dinner. :confused3

But you have a brilliant solution.

Of course, not sure how brilliant Phamton would find it :teeth:

Sure y'all can come on over for Thanksgiving but you'll be cooking your own meal, because I'll probrobly be working that day.

No problem!!! Just leave a turkey in the oven, premade casseroles in the fridge, & a key under the mat, before you head off to work. :rotfl2:

im booked at the rpr Nov. 23-25 I would love to stay the Sat. night also (depends whats going on) but not sure.
As nice as phamtons house sounds...Bubba Gumps has been calling out to me. :listen: I wont try to get ressies until closer to november, its a waiting game either way.
