Carina - thank you. My friends family is saving about $450 by doing this. She called this afternoon and now just has to decide which class to sign her daughter up for.
Now, if I only had a Grandchild for November, my friend did offer me her daughter - LOL.
My friends just got back and they enrolled their kids and got these tickets. they loved every aspect of it, including the fact that they didn't have to deal with fingerscanning when going thru the turnstiles! LOL
I believe the course her kids did was "Things that Move". I had never heard about this so she was pretty impressed that she knew something about WDW that I DIDN'T !
My children did the "How Things Move" program in January. They absolutely LOVED it! They keep telling me that they can not wait to go back to "Disney School!" It was a wonderful experience for them and saved a lot of money for us! WIN-WIN all around!
We will be. If there's still classes left in September. Right now my husband keeps saying he wants to go back NEXT year when last year he promised THIS year.
By the time he makes up his mind, the YES classes will be gone and airfare too high.
The classes sound amazing! I'll enroll both kids in a class and we'll split up.
My grandson took the "Synergy In Science" program at EPCOT in February. I went along with him. It was a good morning... low key and interesting for the kids.
We had a small group and a friendly group leader. My grandson said he liked it.
My daughter said she wouldn't hesitate to enroll the kids again, especially with the ticket savings for a family of four.
We used the program in August last year. It was great and the savings were incredible.
They don't have classes for our trip this year or we would be doing it again for sure
I just signed my kids up for Disney's World of Physics: Properties of Motion for our trip in July. This is our first time, I wish I new about the program earlier. I can't believe the huge savings on the tickets as well as the learning experience for the kids. It's definitely one of Disney's best kept secrets.
Would someone be willing to explain more about the YES program to me? I have two kids 11 & 12 years old and I bet they would have fun learning at Disney. We are french speakers and my kids aren't fully bilingual, could I assist to the 'classes' and help my kids if they don't understand 100%. How does the program work exactly? Will the kids receive a certificate or something to show they participated in the program? The tickets are for one day on the program or each day has an activity? Sorry, if I sound confused, I am.
You sign up the kids for a class which lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the age group. You will need park tickets to attend the class but you are given the option to buy up to 8 day tickets plus hopper and water parks at a discounted price. One adult can attend the class with the kids.
I only just recently found out about this. I'm going to sign my girls up for the animation class in Dec in DL. It sounds so fun. I want to go with them. You can see all the classes here and prices http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/catalog/?location[]=DLR&filter=startDate
You choose the class you want and there are prices for the type of ticket you want (multi day park hopper etc). They only go to the one or 2 classes you sign them up for. Classes are about 2 or 3 hours depending on the one you choose. There are videos that show you an idea of what kids learn in the class to give you an idea.
I just read this and to follow up on my previous post, I'm guessing the CM who answered my call has no idea. If there is a slot for Province etc, I'm sure we can do it. I'm going to bite the bullet seeing as so many of you have registered or will be registering.
