Sure do! We've had them for about 3 cruises now.

Yes, ever since we booked our first...Easier, safer, and just plain handy.. :goodvibes

DH & I have them because we went to Europe on our honeymoon but our 2 children do not. As this is our first family cruise, we will wait to get passports for our children until we really need them....

All 4 of us have them. Had them for our WC cruise in Aug and will be able to use them in 2007

We do, it was quite a bite $$ wise for the 5 of us but we thought it would be the easier way to handle things. We're going on our first cruise in Dec. My husband had to get one as he has been adopted and we it would be a paperwork nightmare otherwise!!

I was all set to get passports for all of us for our up coming cruise, but opted not to get them this year.

add me to the yes list. With my in-laws in England, hubby has always had one, I got one before we got married, and our daughter got one at about 15-16 months.

Used it for all cruise ID's seems to speed things along having it as our ID

My DH and I are now proud owners of passports. With our DS active duty Air Force, you never no when he may be overseas and we need to get to him, for whatever reason. I feel great having them...PLUS they are good for a long time!

Our family travels so much that we always have passports. Both my children got theirs well before they turned one.

DH And I have had passports for over 15 years. The kids don't (yet) although I have the applications.

I have had one since our first DCL cruise in 1995.

They can come in handy for other things than cruising and vacations. I was working for several weeks in DC and misplaced my Drivers License. Flying home would have been a challenge (this was in April 2002). So my mom fed-ex'd my passport to me so I could get home! Thank goodnesss I had it

Debbie

I just feel safer having passports for my family, especially after 9/11. In case of emergency, I want to be able to prove that we're Americans. And if something comes up and we want to/have to leave the country immediately, we can. It's just a security issue for me.

Yep, we have them. I really need to get mine reissued though because the picture doesn't look like me. I got it issued in a rush and the last thing I was concerned about was the picture. But now, I'm always asked to pull out my drivers license to verify it's actually me.

When we got off the ship this summer the agent told DH his passport wasn't valid. Apparently, my poor DH (who has cruised and flown internationally on this very passport 20-30 times) had never bothered to sign the passport. :rotfl:

I don't even have a drivers license with a photo. NJ doesn't require photo ID DLs.

For our cruise in May '05, I got my first passport and my DW renewed hers -- we just felt more secure having both passports and drivers licenses.

Yes, absolutely. DH and I and the 2 kids all have them. We have never taken the kids out of the country (except to PR), but got them when they were under 2 just as a safety precaution. You never know when you might need them in an emergency. Our local Post Office got our kids for us. Check yours, they might do it for you.
