OK, I know it is extremely pedantic of me, but this has annoyed me:

The thing that they are naming Big Ben is, in fact, the Westminster Tower. Big Ben, is the bell inside the tower.

Yes, I am a pedant; yes I am (or rather was) a bell ringer; yes, I am a sad, sad git; yes, I have been stuck in this house for far too long; but it doesn't make my point any less valid!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

After much online consulation, various research and deliberation, I've determined that yes, indeed, you are being very pedantic. :goodvibes

And I just learned a new word today. Woot!

pedant
Noun
a person who is concerned chiefly with insignificant detail or who relies too much on academic learning [Italian pedante teacher]
pedantic-adj
pedantically-adv

Sorry but most people do recognize this as Big Ben :goodvibes

And this is exactly why Disney should be doing it's bit to educated today's youth, as to the proper name of this significant British landmark! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh dear, I need help :lmao:

LOL I can see where you're coming from.. but seeing as how it's an American-run game, I wouldn't expect too much in the way of getting names like the Westminster Tower right. ;)

*Sigh* All I ask for is the sun, the moon and the stars; why is that so difficult?!

Hi
Although you are right in what you say, everybody knows the clock as Big Ben ,and most people say when big ben strikes!!
So does it really matter?

Aha! Big Ben does indeed strike! Well... technically he is chimed, because there's no way on earth you'd ring that bell up, but it's close enough ;).

As I said when I started this thread, I am a pedant, so yes, it matter greatly to me :lmao:
