My friend and I are going to WDW 9/28-9/30 and then my husband and I are going to Disneyland 10/17-10/21. Can I use the same photopass for both parks or do I have to do one for each park? I am not sure that I want to do one for Disneyland because I will be alone a lot of the time and think it might be a little weird to be the only one in the picture. Do you think that is weird? :confused3

Not weird at all, and yes, you can use the same one. It's 30 days' use.

Actually doing it by yourself can be really fun! You can pose however you want, whenever you want (without DH moaning or dear kids sticking their tongues out and/or looking in all different directions). Ask for some special add ons, like Stitch coming out of the ground, sword fighting with Captain Hook near ROA, hitchhiking ghosts near HM, etc.

If I had felt better about my body image in January, I absolutely would have done photopass alone. :goodvibes How else are you going to get pix of yourself while there? Well, other than the myspace type pictures, but those get old (fast). :)

... Do you think that is weird?

Nope. Last year I lost a significant amount of weight. To document my progress, once a month I would have a PhotoPass photographer take my picture in front of the castle. It is now my very proud progression and with a wonderful backdrop. Many times the photographer would say something like, "Okay, next group." and I would say, "It's just me." They would always reply kindly and make sure that I got my time and my picture, just like everyone else.

It's not weird at all. (Or, I am weird... which I can live with too. :goodvibes )

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am just coming up on 100 pounds lost but still have a ways to go. While I am not 100% happy with my current body image, it is so much better than it was. I would have loved to been able to have my picture taken to show my progress - that is an awesome idea.

Where is the link again to find out the price? Thx

I've used PhotoPass alone many, many times. The only difference between you and every other party using the service is that you're a party of one. As mentioned, it's a great way to get pictures of you at the parks and the CMs have always been very accomodating to take pictures with my camera as well.

Just make sure that you log into the system before the 28th of October so you don't lose the WDW photos. They start to vanish 30 days or so after the first picture was taken.

If you don't have any card ID numbers in your account, or if you have WDW photopass cards there, all you'll see is the WDW price.

Once you get DLR photopass card ID numbers into your account, you'll see that price.

Right now when I log in, with expired DLR card ID numbers in my account, it shows me $59.95. :)

I think it's important to note - the cards themselves don't expire - only the photos.

We are constantly using our MNSSHP Photopass card from WDW. The CMs at DL love to see that one come out. I log on and see those photos all the time! That being said, we do have about 6 different cards affiliated with our account though. Having the DL specific card is important only if you want to get the photo cd - that is the only item in the PhotoPass stock that is a different price, due to the increased number of photo ops at WDW vs DL. The individual photos are the same price.

I have actually had better luck using old cards than using new ones. They almost lost our photos with the GCH Santa last year, because we picked up a new card before I fumbled long enough to find an old one. When we logged in, we had the photos from the old card, but not the ones on the new one. Thank goodness we could go down the following weekend and investigate it in person. The phone support told us we could consider them gone, but a Photopass CM in DCA was able to find them for us in a matter of minutes.

The photo opportunity in the GCH was closed, since Santa had already gone back to the North Pole, so it is valuable to know that any PhotoPass service counter can pull up photos from any park or Photographer location.

Ok now I am really confused. When we get to WDW, we use a photo pass card that we get there but when I go to DL a couple of weeks later, I have to use one that I get there? If I want a CD of all the pictures, do I have to pay the $125 for the WDW and $60 for the DL? Or can I just buy one with pictures from both parks? :confused3

Well the question took a turn for someone not in your specific situation. :)

I think that for you, you'll end up paying the WDW price for the whole CD (of all the pix). When WDW and DLR people share in the CDs, I believe they pay the WDW price for the CD.

Bradk of stitchkingdom.com might know more...he has a whole section on photopass on his site, and might have people who have recently shared trips on a CD.
