So, we just got our room, but we realized as soon as we got to the airport at 5AM that we left the stroller in the trunk of the car. So, geniuses - what do I do? I rented one today, but we really depend on it from the parks to the hotel room. I looked at a rental company, but it seemed the strollers were for smaller kids (our little guy is 4, and we were bringing a Chicco Capri, we'd like some version of an easy in and out umbrella stroller, no tray. ) We have no car, or carseat if we wanted to take a cab somewhere. :sad2: Any ideas? Anywhere in downtown disney sell strollers? Help!:scared1:

Oh no!

I'm pretty sure there aren't any places in DTD that sell strollers (and if they did, they'd be WAY too expensive).

If it were me, I'd have one of us run down to the nearest WalMart or Target or Babies R Us via cab and buy one.

I'm sorry...that's exactly the type of thing I would do

There's a Target not too far. A quick cab ride there and you'll have a new stroller before you know it :goodvibes

My daughter managed to take a DL stroller back to the PPH. :rolleyes1
Even though PPH does 'not' have strollers (fyi):sad2: Of course,DL still has her deposit.

We did the exact same thing we went in '03. I suggest taking ART to the Target down the street from DL. We had rented a car while we were in CA, so we drove over and got the Chicco umbrella stroller (can't remember the name of the model). Anyway, it was a good purchase since it's gone to WDW twice now and will go back to DL in two weeks. Second daughter, same stroller, and a lot of great memories.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and quick replies. I'm not sure what we'll do yet, 50% of my party is currently sleeping. :goodvibes I guess I'm mostly bummed because we were going to give our stroller to someone else when we left! I hate to invest any more money in it, of course. Thanks again!!

There is a little convenience store/souvenier store that we have passed many times walking to DLR from the off-site hotels. I couldn't remember exactly where it was but DH told me it was on the corner of harbor and katella. We saw cheapy umbrella strollers there. I'm not sure how much they were, we just saw them while walking by and thought that they must get a lot of people buying strollers from them. Hope that helps!

You can take ART to Target I think. The umbrella strollers are around $10.

My husband and I will be going on our first disney vacation with our 21 month old. We are totally lost when it comes to strollers and carseats. I would love some advice as well. Don't know if renting from an online source is realiable and I don't know if Walmart/Target is the best....would like help too!

Along with ART, there's also a bus that goes to Target; someone from these boards took it with her whole family when her camera died mid-vacation last year.

lyv4him, do you use a stroller at home? If it's not one of those enormous numbers (and I doubt it is as those generally go along with the infant carseats and unless your bebe is itsy s/he is most likely out of that already) maybe just bring that?

We aren't really "stroller people", the only stroller DS was in until he was 2 was a rental stroller at DL. :) But that visit, at 17 months, was just a one-day visit. Other than the stroller, I wore him in a mesh-bodied mei tai on my front (his face facing mine). When he was 2.5 I bought an Ergo and a jogging stroller, and brought the Ergo for our second one day DL visit while renting another stroller.

By the time he was 3, we caved in and bought one, a BabyTrend, for the DLR trips that year, and I really liked it but misjudged how fast he was going to outgrow it! But for a babe the age of yours, that sort of thing would be nice...it could recline quite a bit, relatively easily, for those stroller naps that can happen fast, it had a tray that could swing out, it rolled along easily. And it wasn't so expensive that I worried horribly about it.

Now we have a Volo, but I don't think I personally would put an under-2 in that, especially b/c it doesn't recline at all.

So I'd go for something between an umbrella and a big huge stroller, also not a jogger, for your bebe. :)
