Their top 100 includes small chains, but I believe it's based on Yelp reviews for individual locations, so some end up twice, like Zachary's in both Oakland and Berkeley.

I'm kind of disappointed that Boot & Shoe Service isn't on the list. Haven't been there, but the name is just too weird.

There's about a half dozen there, Chicago and suburb. Never heard of any of them. And I've been here my whole, long life.

Well.....a best pizza also had to be ranked high by international endorsements and Little Italy in Gila Bend, Arizona has a fantastic international endorsement and perhaps the highest out of town carry out....as it is the middle of nowhere arizonia and really hard to believe that they can survive on just the population of the town. So, when in Gila Bend, do not eat the pizza, it will ruin all the other pizzas for you,...wish I had never stopped to eat there.....can't eat a whole pizza than travel 90 miles back to yuma, so many cold slices,,,,never the same, but still very doable.

Unfortunately, I have never been to any of those.

I remember seeing a list somewhere that listed top pizza places by state. I remember "Mother Bears" in Bloomington was listed.... THAT is one I have been to. I will also comment that it IS in fact really good.

Yeah, I was about to say - it's Yelp, it has nothing to do with any actual 'Top 100' lists.

If Yelp still uses that dubious practice of asking businesses to pay a fee to hide bad ratings, then I wouldn't consider them a valid source of reviews. I stopped using Yelp when it became known how they operate.
