Hi everyone I know this isn't Disney specific but wanted to get some advice from you fabulous travelers...
Next October we will be visiting Yellowstone as part of a three week trip (plan is to be there the last week of Oct 17). From the looks of it most of the accommodation inside the park will already be closed for the Winter. So I'd like to know from anyone who has done it, the following:
We've got two nights there and we don't mind getting up early to drive in to the park, but I'd like advice from those who've actually traveled the distance.
Thanks in advance!

- Realistic travel time (own car) from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful
- Recommendation on mid priced accommodation in West Yellowstone
- What are the lunch options inside the park at that time of year if most accom is closed - do we have to take food in? That could be a bear problem right?
- Should we suck it up and pay through the nose for the accom that is available in the park? This was meant to be a budget trip but if we have to I can probably cut elsewhere.
- Any odd thing that you think we should know/see/do while there?
