Yellow Flies

Just curious...are the yellow flies out yet?? If so, how bad are they?

They were REALLY BAD this past weekend! Highly recommend a screen tent if you have one. Deet didn't seem to help. There are directions for how to make a yellow fly trap online using a beach ball. Wish I would have read that before we went. We brought one home and identified it as a true "yellow fly" not a deer fly like some other posts are commenting, so the rules for deer flies don't apply to this bugger!

We took a stroll around the Fort today and noticed afew when we were waiting for the bus. They weren't too bad but then we didn't stay put too long. Sure did see alot of squished love bugs on the front of cars and motorhomes.
