I just booked YC for 5 adults in 1 room. Are we nuts???
We are all girls, age 27, and we did not want to stay at a value resort and the moderates cost more, plus we love the location! I keep having this reoccuring dream that the rooms w/ the daybeds will be reserved when we get there and they will have to upgrade us to a suite a no charge :teeth:

5 women sharing one bathroom? You are a brave, brave woman. :goodvibes

Are you sure you don't want to do 2 connecting rooms at a moderate so you have 4 beds and bathrooms? Coronado Springs also has a junior suite which is about $350 a night.

Don't forget you will be charged an extra $75 a night for 3 extra adults in the room so 2 moderate rooms might come out to a better deal.

Good luck. It sounds like a really fun trip. :cheer2:

Yeah the per person additional charge at the YC would be way too high. If you think you can sneak three other people in remember that the other 3 would not have room cards to get into the parks for extra magic hours or be able to use the Pool. They are very strict at they YC/BC and pretty much every adult is carded to make sure they have a current card and are given a colored bracelet to use the pool.

Well, having stayed at the BC with 3 adults on a mom's weekend away I would not do it. Three adults in one room was Plenty, believe me!

We did have the daybed but it is not a request you can guarantee and I don't think the YC would be responsible for upgrading you if a room with a daybed is not available. Not sure about that but not a risk I would be willing to take - have you seen the rates on the suites??

Remember that the per night fee is $25.00 for each adult (over 18) after two adults per room so that adds $75.00 per night.

It is a great location but honestly I would not have a fun vacation with 5 woman in that room!

With a code you can get two nice rooms at a moderate, most likely for less that rack at the BC.

We are paying for all 5 adults b/c we are getting the MYW w/ the dining plan.
We never stayed at the YC before and everyone fell in love w/ this resort just by looking at the pictures. I am hoping the gym has a shower if we are in a rush. I have stayed at the BC and the room was a decent size. The shower situation is going to be interesting but we'll have rotating shifts between the pool, the bar and the shower

I still can't believe I get to stay at the YC.

More power to ya....LOL...have fun...also the day bed is fairly small so hopefully someone is under 5'5"

If you have 5 booked in the room, you will get the daybed. Otherwise, they wouldn't let you book it so don't worry about that part.

I hope you guys are close friends!! :grouphug:

By the way, I think it would be really fun to travel with a group of girlfriends to Disney. You are lucky (but crowded).

Not necessarily. We had 5 at the YC in December and the first room they put us in had 2 queen beds only. They wanted to put a rollaway in for the 5th person, but we couldn't get to the balcony door and it was such a tight fit, that you could only get into it by crawling from the foot of the bed. We had to go through some hoops, but eventually we were moved to a room with the daybed.

As for the size of the daybed, my DS is 6' and he said that it was very comfortable.

I'd be a little concerned about only one bathroom, but they do have the split sinks located separatly from the toilet & shower. I could be mistaken, but I thought the fitness center was quite a walk from our room and you had to go outside to get there.

Aside from that, the beds are super comfortable and you probably won't be doing much more than sleeping there anyway. It's a great location and you know what, it doesn't hurt to ask at check in what they have available for rooms. Stranger things have happened.

Have fun,
Tammi

Are you positive it will cost more to get two rooms at a moderate? We are a family of 5 and each time we have gone it has been cheaper to get two rooms at a moderate than one room at a true deluxe like YC and we do not have to pay the additional $75 for the extra adults. Double check your math. I would get two rooms at CSR or any other moderate you prefer. There will be four beds and two baths.

Wow-that's interesting. I didn't know that. You learn something new every day.
