YC standard room question

I have been trying to read and learn about YC room view/locations on this board. I have grasped that many of the views at this resort are less than ideal. As we will probably be staying there during "peak" season I may have to compromise and go with a standard view.

Question:

Are there any key words to use when making a standard room view request on my ressie?

(When I stayed at BWI I was guided to ask for "an upper floor, Epcot view" which helps keep you away from overlooking the parking lot and bus area.)

Although we spend less time in our room as our children are older now, we still like to take advantage of our balcony and it would not be very nice to spend our week at WDW overlooking a bus stop/parking lot or CM smoke break area.

Had that view when we stayed here in December, yuck. This is a great site for Yacht Club info. It has the floor layouts, with the views. Based on what I could I see, you want to request a wedding gazebo garden view. Have it noted on your reservation and ask again when you check in.

Are there any standard rooms with view of epcot..I believe if I can remeber that the standard rooms face away from Epcot just the water view?

We had a standard view concierge level back in 2002 and didnt think it was all that bad. Our room was one right over the entrance to the resort where the huge balcony is. We really enjoyed that big balcony. We could see the drive leading up to the resort and lots of trees. Honestly though we werent in our room enough to even look at the view very often.
