YC or BC, how do I decide?

We would love to try one of these resorts after 5 trips to the WL, thought we might enjoy a change.

Which has better walking proximity to EPCOT? If it helps we would prefer the more casual of the two (if there is a difference).

The Beach Club is the closest to Epcot, and it's also the "more casual" of the two.

I was planning on staying at the Yacht Club (no real reason why) on my next trip, but it was booked, so we'll be staying at the Beach Club. I'm very excited!

Sounds like BC is the one you want:

1) It's closer to Epcot (just by a couple of minutes)
2) It's more laid back/casual than YC

However, I myself picked YC over BC because I wanted a full-size balcony. Some of the BC rooms have only a standing-room only size balcony. If that's not important to you, then definately go with the BC.

By the sounds of things you would definatley prefer Beach Club. It is closer to Epcot (okay, only by about 3 minutes). And, BC definatly has a more laid back atmoshphere. The Beach Club has a beachy theme and is done up in seafoam green and peach. The Yacht Club has a nautical theme and is done up in darker colors.

If your worried about the full size balcony, just put a request in on your reservation, we have been lucky enough to get one every time we have requested.

BC is our favorite resort.

I am partial to the YC but one dayI am going to try the BC. I think the decor at the YC is gorgeous and the staff there are fantastic.

If it helps, there's a 30 minute segment on the YC on the Travel Channel, Monday, Aug 26th at 2pm CST

We visited the YC our last time (when we ate at Yachtman Steakhouse (YUM) ) and DH decided that would be our next resort to try (so we'll be there in Nov)!! Lucky for us, they *should* be finished with the refurb by then - they'll start on BC after they finish with YC.

We are trying the Yacht Club, something new...we still love the WL.

If I'm not mistaken, the TV show MadMadamMim was speaking about on the Travel Channel actually features the BC, however, just as MadMadamMim said, does show the YC. By watching the program, you will perhaps be able to decide between the two. The show (Great Hotels) does a great job and I love it! It's a good idea to tape it. It will be featured the 26th and the 28th.

Personally, I prefer the BC. It has a more laid-back atmosphere and the Cape May Cafe buffet in the lobby is wonderful!!! Plus, it is closer to the Boardwalk and Epcot and Art the Greeter is a delightful person!!
