Does the YC or BC have a food court similiar to the mod's? Also, we are staying at the YC and arriving to hotel around 6:30, do you have any suggestions where to eat dinner our first night. Husband will not want to travel to far the first night for food. Thanks!

They do not have a food court at the Yacht and Beach Club. They have Beaches and Cream for burgersm dogs and ice cream. Hurricane Hannah's by the pool has snacks.
A good place to go for the first night that isn't to fancy and has a diverse menue is the Yacht Club Galley. Casual and not to expensive either.

We are just back from the BC and had a wonderful time! :flower: Ate at the Marketplace several times for breakfast and lunch. They have a terrific chicken caesar salad that they will make up fresh for you. They also had a good turkey and mozzerella sandwich. I don't recommend the veggie wrap though, it's pre-made and mine was soggy and mostly onions. Also there's an assortment of muffins/pastries for breakfast. They had some pre-made items in the frig as well, but we didn't try those. Also they have quite a few convenience items (bread, milk, sandwich meat, peanut butter, cereal, chips, etc.) if you wanted to have meals in your room.

ps - Beaches and Cream was fabulous! You have to try the "no way Jose" ice cream sundae (chocolate/vanilla ice cream, peanut butter/hot fudge covered in whipped cream and sprinkled with peanut butter chips and chocolate chips - to die for! :teeth:

Another thumbs up for the Yacht Club Galley--FABULOUS food, casual atmosphere, great place for a relaxing meal on your first night.

You have many choices in the YC area. There is the Yacht club galley, The Yachtsman Steak House, the Crews Cup lounge next to the Yachtsman (for appetizers). A short walk away is ESPN for good burgers, fries and sports bar type food. Spoodles for mediiterranian. Spoodles also does Pizza to go. The Big River Brewing Company, not a favorite of mine but people like it. There is also the Swan and Dolphin for dinner. Many, Many choices. A nice walk around the lake when you first get in will take you to all of these restaurants.

By the way, save 1 night for JellyRolls. Lots of fun.

We're staying at BC and planning on eating at Big River Grille over at Boardwalk since it's close to BC. Since they don't take PS but are on the dining plan, thought this made the most since.

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is absolutely wonderful and you don't even have to leave the building! We have eaten there at least once on every trip since they opened.

Although you cannot make advaced dining reservations for Big River Grille through Disney, they do take reservations. Our agent from Small World (WDWVacations.com) called them directly to make a reservation for us. I know they are not Disney owned but thought you could make a reservation through Disney. For some reason you must call them directly and make a reservation if you feel you might need one.

Where is the Marketplace at BC? Granted I haven't stayed there in a little while, but the lack of a "food court" is why I didn't choose BC for my upcoming trip. BC is my absolutely favorite resort, but too often, since it's just my daughter and me, it's so much easier just to grab a bite LATE and take it back to the room. For this reason we chose the Poly.

THe Marketplace is located in the gift shop. They took out part of the giftshop and added the food area.

Thank you for your replys. It is exciting staying at another resort, but I like to be prepared. I really like having a food court for a quick snack, I am curious how I will fee after this stay. My husband loves ice cream, so I know we will go to Beaches and Cream one night.
