YC concierge! still my favorite!!!

Hi everyone!
I just returned home from a 2 week trip to WDW!!! it was awesome! dh and I had the best time ever!
first week was at BWV , and the 2nd week was at YC concierge! that was our third stay at YC concierge, and it was just as awesome as ever! if not better, cause now the staff really knows us! the second we got off the elevator, we were recognized form our stay in November! it was great!

i dont have time now to post in detail, but I will for sure tomorrow!!!

sad to be home, but happy I can share! and looking forward to next trip already!!! 2 weeks YC concierge for thanksgiving!!!

How would you say that the YC concierge compares to the GF Royal Palm Club? I am really curious.........what the differences are.

I am thinking of treating myself (and DH, of course) to a stay at YC concierge the first week of December! This will be an early birthday present to myself as I turn 30 on 12/28, but don't want to fight those holiday crowds!

I look forward to reading more, and particularly hope you post a dining report, as I know (from your posts) that we enjoy similar restaurants!!!!!

you must be getting sooooo very excited for your July trip! are you still booked at the GF? what view?

dumboiu - hi! I have stayed at YC concierge three times, for a total of 17 nights! and have only stayed at GF RPC for one night! so it isnt fair for me to really compare the two, but I will say that my feeling is that YC concierge cm's are truly an amazing staff! they really go out of their way to be helpful, and genuinely friendly! I really feel welcomed there!
plus I like the location of the YC 100 times better than the GF, and I love the theming and overall feel of the YC.
it is my favorite resort, and 3 times at concierge, I have not one complaint!

I'm glad you had a magical time.......AGAIN. I am really envious that you're going to WDW in November. We just got our AP renewal forms and sadly won't be renewing. I know, I know, it's for a good reason, but still, one can REALLY go through Disney withdrawl!

You're making me want to try YC on our next trip, although I have to say right now I'm actually leaning toward the Polynesian. We will have a little princess with us and how cool would it be for her to fall asleep gazing at the castle??? Plus I like the location of the Poly. I know you weren't crazy about it last time you were there........so who knows? Maybe by the time I'm ready to book my next trip you'll have convinced me to stay at YC.

Can't wait to read your trip report and restaurant report!

I'm staying at the Poly concierge and the YC concierge in August. Over two weeks ago I sent back the advance planning form to the Poly. I still haven't heard from them, despite that I checked the box for someone to call about spa reservations. I e-mailed them yesterday afternoon and still haven't gotten a response.

Yesterday I filled out and faxed the form for the YC concierge. Yesterday evening I got a phone call from them telling me they had made all my PS, and they emailed the confirmation numbers to me last night.

So far the YC concierge has exceeded my expectations, while the Poly concierge is leaving me with a bad taste... If I don't get contacted by them today, I might look into going back to AKL or BWI concierge instead...

ok - sorry sorry sorry I havent posted details yet, I'm trying!

ducklite - that seems like exactly what I experienced! the Poly concierge was so un-helpful it was unreal! they didnt bother with us at all, never knew our names, never smiled, never tried to help, and when we politely asked for a simple PS, or something they acted like we were bothering them!!! we really werent made to feel welcomed at all!
the YC on the other hand has been superb all three times! the concierge staff is truly amazing!

scanne, I thought you didnt like the Poly when you stayed there!??? I'm sure I'll be able to talk you into the YC, how long do I have... 2 plus years! I know I can do it!!! LOL!!!!!!!

princess angel - I am excited to hear your report. We are considering the BWI for our next trip.

We were just at the Poly Conc a couple weeks ago and I agree on the Poly CM's. They were just not interested in us. I would like to experience some of that friendliness that you had.
