Just got back from a split stay, four days at yc concierge and four days at poly concierge. I had stayed poly before and decided to go with it again just in case yc was not to our liking. All I can say is the yc was awesome. The personal service blew the poly staff away. In the few days we were there, they knew the comings and goings of my family. I would come up from the escalator and they would tell me that my wife just stepped out for a moment, or something like that. The lounge was never crowded and the food was abundant and tasty. I didn't have a bad time at the poly, but yc was just outstanding. I still want to try bwi concierge, but my new favorite is definately yc. I can not say enough good things about the entire staff of the hotel, not just the concierge staff. But the concierge staff just blew me away for friendliness. Head and shoulders above the poly.

Thank you so much for posting this. We are staying at the YC Concierge in December and I have been nervous since we have never stayed here (concierge) before. We have stayed at the Poly and Grand floridian concierge and thought they were great. I have been trying to switch our reservations to either of these since I am not sold on the YC. Your post makes me feel so much better. Can you tell me more about the food offerings and how it compares to the Polynesian? Did the YC staff help you with arrangements before your stay? Thanks!

I'm glad you had a nice stay. Could you tell me a little about the food offerings? Thanks!

I'm glad you had such a good experience. We were there last December and I wasn't overly impressed with our stay. A few notes that I made from that trip were if you want a nice view, pay for the waterview. Their standard rooms overlook the parking lot and convention center roof. I had a problem with a few of the morning staff members, but Alana in IPO came through for me and the rest of the staff was excellent. I thought the lounge was tiny compared to the Poly and the GF and I didn't like that they closed the doors between food servings and at night. Very kid friendly foods (donuts in the morning, goldfish crackers, gummy worms and pudding cups in the afternoon, pb&j uncrustables in the evening). It would have been nice if they could have built the lounge in a location that had a nice view too. Their balcony also overlooks the parking lot. Definitely the best pre-planning department though and the proximity to both MGM and Epcot can't be beat. I wouldn't cross it off my list, but it does differ from some of the other concierges.

This is exactly why I love the YC so much! The staff is the best on property.
