Currently I have a room only bounceback garden view booked @ the BC. I stayed last Dec. at the YC and loved the room, the view, the location, the restaurants, etc. Would have booked there again w/ the bb, but only water view rooms available and I didn't want to spend all that money on a wv room and risk getting a view of a swimming pool. Truly wanted to get the dinning plan as well, but didn't need tickets (have APs) and the CM on the phone said I could only do a room only.
So, my hope is that once the winter AP rates come out I can switch to something else w/ dinning (paid dinning, btw.)
YC - loved the location, Epcot being my favorite park, had lunch in Epcot almost every day, liked Yachtsman restaurant, the ambiance of the resort (sort of serene) the location on the lake, the easy walk to Epcot, the boats to Epcot and DHS.
BC, should have many of the same pluses, except there's a possibility of no balcony and the atmosphere is more hectic, IMO. However, I am considering purchasing DVC @ BCV, so maybe it would be smart to try it out for a test run (maybe even a villa.)
AKL, stayed there twice, love it, but, do not like being so far away from everything, however, AK is a favorite park and we'll eat @ Boma, Sanaa and Jiko whether we stay there or not, and if we stay there we could do the Wanyama safari again.
GF, never stayed there, club is not a good fit for us (we don't drink, and w/ deluxe dinning shouldn't need extra snacks) so is GF worth it if we stay in an outer wing? We'll eat @ Narcoosees and Ca. Grill (monorail hop away.) Have tried Citricios and 1900, neither are must return locations. I'm tempted to try GF, just because I'd like to experience it, and the Xmas tree is lovely, but other than that, is there a good reason to stay there, when my preferred location is over @ YC/BC?
Anyone else care to weigh in w/ opinions? It's my son and myself, 2 adults.

We went this past Dec, and did a split between Wl and BC. I really like the mk/epcot splits. It saves me money in taxi fare trying to hit all our favorite restaraunts, and we rarely have to get on a bus. You do realize you will have to cancel your room only and rebook a package if you want the dxdp. When we had Ap's I always booked a BB, and then would end up cancelling it to get the dxdp. It's hard to pass up that discount even though you know you probably aren't going to use it.

All of them, we'll be there @ least 8 days and usually visit 2 parks per day. In order of how often visited: Epcot, MK, AK and last DHS. We'll tend to run into MK to hit a few favorite rides after a later dinner @ a MK resort, for example, or spend a little time in Epcot after a lunch in a country before heading out elsewhere.
Re: The rebook, yeah, sigh, I know, but wanted something in place in case nothing became available later.
